How's life in Tampa?

Rock, not sure if you ever get to frequent any erotic dancing locations or not.
I went to a place in Tampa called Mons Venus last summer and it was the best
I had ever seen hands down ( although hands down isn't really their policy there
if you know what I mean). Just thought I would pass along all my Tampa
knowledge.

Life is good here at 620 WDAE in Tampa.

If I can play the role of Beardown for a minute, any good stories you can tell that you heard? Like who broke the damn toaster?

No longer around....but there is a pretty cool event coming up down here about the history of Tampa sports. We're sponsoring the event of course. Really looking forward to it

It's amazing how quickly things seem to change when you leave. I say good luck to those trying to better their careers as a collective, fight the good fight! I'm pissed off about Q101....but not shocked it happened. There hasn't been anything that radio can grasp onto in that genre of music in the past decade anyway. As much as rock fans hate the rip/hop subgenre (Limp/Korn/etc..)....it saved rock music for a good 6-8 year period. I'm wearing collared shirts and nice jeans now to work over the t-shirts and shorts. Sandals are my choice of footwear now at all hours outside of work hours. It's been a real experience for me, but I do miss watching my White Sox every day and talking shit with M&H every morning. I'm around...always will be. -RoCk twitter.com/rockmamola

I guess they are actually calling themselves FC Tampa Bay. But apparently the original plan was to resurrect the old Rowdies name. You got to love some second division soccer, Rock!

Rock, hope all is well on the job. Tampa is a beautiful place, in fact the whole area of Tampa, St. Pete and Clearwater is very nice. My parents have a place in Palm Harbor so I am familiar with the radio in the area. Overall its not too bad. I will say that I didn't hear as much condesending talent as there is here in Chicago. In fact, there seemed to be more tolerance for people's opinions, regardless of how "off" they may be. It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere down there and a good place to be during spring training with the number of options you have of teams to check out. Best of luck in the job.

Rock how frustrated our you that the Pirates were in first place and now our on a 10 game losing streak? I actually feel bad because its a long 18 years of being under .500; plus Andrew Mccutchen is a badass.

Are you aware the Pirates are now 10 games behind the Brewers in the N.L. Central and haven't been the same since losing back-to-back extra inning games to the Braves in Atlanta?
