Mike Esposito married a good friend of mine's ex. One day I posted on my Facebook status how bad he was on-air and she dropped me as a Facebook friend.
Great story. Compelling and rich!
Mike Esposito is nothing more than a guy. The station has a ton of guys - mostly below average. While he isn't as offensively awful as Zaidman or Finfer or McKnight, most of these dudes are truly like stunt doubles for the "regular crew" during the week. Does anyone give a crap about Espo's thoughts on whether or not Quentin should have been traded? Does anyone find Finfer's brand of sports chatter fun or interesting? Does anyone make it a point to find the truly atroscious JoeO and R̶o̶c̶k̶ McKnight Show, and when it's on?
Besides the incredibly bad impressions and bad jokes slung around by Grote on Saturday mornings, none of these dudes even attempt to create their own "thing". Love or hate Bernstein, gotta give the dude credit for creating his own schtick early on....
