I grew up in Minneapolis MN and lived there until 1996...(I know, you're happy for me). Anyways, back before sports talk radio, there were two local sportswriters that hosted a once a week call in sports radio show. The only one of it's type at the time. Every once in a while a caller with the ID of "Angry Ed" would call in and just rail on the Viking players, coaches and management. This goes back to when Bud Grant was still coaching the team. So, maybe early 80's, but I could be wrong on the timeline. The calls were classics though and the hosts just ate them up.

Fast forward to my moving to Chicagoland in 1996 and listening to a Bears post game show hosted by none other than "Angry Ed O'Bradovich"...yes it was Ed O'Bradovich who used to call the radio station in Minneapolis and rail on the Vikings. That voice is unmistakeable. I'm sure no one up there listening knew it, although the hosts had to be in on the joke.

Had any of you had heard that story before?
