They really do sound exactly alike. It's a good listen, though. |

Connor sounds like a David Kaplan wanna be. |

No. I don't seek out the show. But it's an easy weekend listen. |

LoHo's hosting NBC SportsSunday now, Beardown. I know you'll be watching. |

Dr. Kenneth Noisewater wrote: No. I don't seek out the show. But it's an easy weekend listen. To be honest, I haven't listened to them in a long time. Dallas vs SD, even though it's preseason, is a better option tonight so I won't give them a shot. Joe has been at the Score a while right? Wasn't he one of north's "Battling Polock" producers? When I did hear him he sounded like a whinny, frat boy D-Bag. Connor strikes me as somone who wants to be thought of as proper and intellecutal. He doesn't want to go the route of Drinky and Goff with the "Lewd, crude and rude" style. He doesn't want to do "Fuck you" radio. He wants to be respected by industry types and always have options in this biz. That will probably work for him. He'll be around for a while. But he's not a good talk show host from what I've heard of him. He can last as an update guy and reporter. His kind is perfect for that. In his updates, you can tell that he's been educated in broadcasting. Can't say that for drink and Goff. |

Not too sure but I think Adamle is out or scaled back. |

I'd be nervous if I were Larry. I wouldn't have accepted it. NBC 5 is bad for black people. They all die young. |

Ok. I listended to the last 5 minutes or so. I will give a backhanded compliment. Joe can Connor are better than drinky and Goff. |

I know the popular thing is to hate everything about sports radio in Chicago but I look at it this way - When their show is on and I need/want to listen to the radio, I don't turn it off. I don't turn on WGN or WBBM so whatever they are doing must be good enough to keep my attention. They sound exactly alike so I can never really tell who's talking but it's not like I'm logging the show so that's not that big of a deal. I'm not calling for their own 4-hour weekday slot but, for a weekend show, it works for me. Also, they will discuss topics that must be off-limits to weekday guys like, GASP!, college sports, which works for me as well. |

Ginger Zee, who’s been weekend meteorologist at WMAQ-Channel 5 since 2006, appears to be headed for ABC’s Good Morning America in New York. It’s not official yet, but insiders say she’ll be filling the long-vacant weather slot on GMA Weekend after her contract expires here in October. She has been making occasional appearances on NBC’s Today since early last year. Named after the Ginger character on Gilligan’s Island, Zee, 30, grew up in western Michigan and worked at WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids before joining NBC 5. Zee’s agent, Rick Ramage of N.S. Bienstock Inc., declined to comment. Who else will provide minute-by-minute Tweets of local weather phenomena? |

Didn't LoHo have a thing for Ginger Zee at one time before Ranger was supposedly an item with her? |

SHARK wrote: Are you sure about this? Didn't LoHo have a thing for Ginger Zee at one time before Ranger was supposedly an item with her? I was not aware that Mr. Holmes had a romantic interest in Mz. Zee. Ranger is lucky to still be standing. More importantly SHARK, I am interested in Mz. Zee's health situation. She wore an unbuttoned gray suit on the NBC weekend news last night. I must admit I thought I saw a little more tummy than normal. Have you heard anything regarding Mz. Zee's weight? Is there anything inquiring minds should know? |

Those must be a hard 30 years for her. She looks 10 years older. The Lone Ranger rides again. What kind of white trash parent names his child after a TV show? |

good dolphin wrote: Those must be a hard 30 years for her. She looks 10 years older. The Lone Ranger rides again. Your perception of a woman's age is way, way out of whack. I bet you always chased the older women as a youth but the constant rejection must have sworn you off of anything that is too old to be in college. Ranger's been free of that for a while - she's been out chasing those that chase tornados. |

Also - given the amount of attention Ginger (fake name) Zee has recieved on this board, this news deserves it's own thread. It's buried here. |
