Haven't seen this posted, but I'm one the few remaining folks that tries to make the 9pm WGN news a must-watch and last night I was greeted by Howard Sudberry.

Is there any news on this? The always smug Suppelsa made a joke about how it "seemed like you've done this before" after his sports spot, but is he a permanent addition? I know Roan and King are usually there, with that Dave Enette guy showing up once in awhile. I know he's recently been some sort of hired whore for Arlington (guesting with Boers and Bernstein on a weekly? basis), wonder if he's going to continue to call in while cashing a WGN paycheck.

Anyway, the bigger question is whether he has a hairpiece or a bad die job. That's not the hair of a 55 year old.

This must be nothing more than a free lance thing with Howard Sudberry on what used to be called "The Nine O'Clock News" on WGN's CW9 & WGN America. Whenever Dan Roan and/or Rich King aren't doing sports that night, WGN has gone to its bullpen of sorts, bringing in 720 WGN's Dave Eanet from the radio side to pinch hit.

Since CBS2 dropped Sudberry, he has done a weekly segment every Friday afternoon to preview the weekend activities at Arlington Park with 670 The SCORE's "Boers & Bernstein". As far as I know, Sudberry's meat & potatoes is Arlington Park, but I'm not sure his specific title at the racetrack.

As far as his hair...I think it might be a combination of both a dye and a hairpiece...

Good breakdown, SHARK. I think you're 100% correct about the hair!

Sudberry is the Senior Director or Marketing and Comms for Arlington Park. I remember a long time ago he used to host a Saturday afternoon race of week from Arlington on Channel 2. I'm going to guess it was free-lance and/or a pat on the back for the work they did by putting the Million on WGN TV a few weeks back.

Thanks for the clarification on Howard Sudberry's relatively new job at Arlington Park, Hawkeye. Back in the day when he was doing weekend sports at CBS2, Howard & Johnny Morris (remember him?) actually hosted a weekly race late Saturday afternoons at Arlington, long before Johnny retired, Howard's contract was not renewed by ex-CBS2 bossman Joe Ahern & Churchill Downs took over ownership of the racetrack.

What's Tim Weigal been up to these days?
