Laurence and Goff story from Monday at Juniors. They didn't have his grilled chicken and Goff couldn't get a burger. Maybe not Juniors. Maybe Hawkeyes? |

No shakes at McDonald's in "the hood" or nuggets or fries. I'd lose a lot of weight in "the hood." |

I loved the Shazam show on Saturday mornings growing up. It wasn't a cartoon. It was real actors like when Lou Ferigno played The Hulk. Shazam used to drive around in a winnebago with his uncle saving lives across the country. I didn't know he was balck. The actor must have been one of them high yellow fellers. |

I'm just amazed with the way people word things sometimes. This includes the "Laurence Holmes isn't a real black guy" talk. I'd love to hear some people's definition of what a real black guy is or what a "knockoff black version" really means... |

People have told me all my life that I'm not a "real white" so I know how it feels. But I'd also like to know why Larry said he dreams of stabbing white people, why he asks callers and texters to his house, why he bashes Ginger Zee just cuz she dumped Ranger and why he always uses the race card and puts down whitey. Sadly, I don't think you or I will ever get the answers to our questions. |

He's saying knock off black guy because the non cartoon featured this guy, who was definitely not balck |

You guys are some sorry excuses for LoHo fans around here. So, I'm settling in to listen to my Hater Wednesday (hashtag) while I walk my dog, and you get a full-on guest appearance by Laurence's girlfriend (or possibly girl friend). The discussion goes to her claiming to have been a phone sex operator and the discussion continues. There's even something for Beardown, who could probably do 2-3 pages on her answer when Laurence asks her what guys who called in sound like. They proceed to act out a phone call from Laurence on the phone sex line as "Rod Steele". There's no discussion of this? What the hell? |

Sorry Doc. Speeps Jr needed my attention. I did send about a million hates in that Laurence refused to acknowledge. I should've signed them "Dr. Kenneth Noisewater". They woulda got on air for sure. |

Krazy Ivan wrote: what a "knockoff black version" really means... Well the character looks black or brown to me? and it looks like another superhero named SHAZAM? Now, maybe you are unaware of Shazam, or the version I posted earlier happen to exist prior to the White Shazam, in that case, The WHITE KNOCKOFF of Shazam would be correct, but as far as I know the White Shazam came first? Thus the Black Knockoff Shazam seems correct? |

I faintly recall that Shazam was followed by a sister show called Isis...kind of like Thor but with ancient Egyptian goddeses. It was really a great time to be growing up for Saturday morning TV. There was a wide range of shows from GI Joe, Harlem Globetrotters, Mr. T to non animated kids shows like the ones described. This was before Saved by the Bell changed everything. |
