If any of you have been listening to weekend Murph and Fred, what has been Murph's opinion on the Epstein hire?

I love Terry Boers. I hate Tim Tebow. The fact that the former will die before the latter show what a cruel, unjust world we live in.

A couple of weeks ago I heard him say he was against it.
He said it would set the Cubs back 10 years and they wouldn't win a World Series under him.
He was all for getting an established baseball veteran, not a young gun.

He said that as long as Epstein's in town he ought to head down to Jack Phelan Chevrolet right there on Harlem. He could see Jack, Jack Jr. or any of the great sales guys down there to get a great deal on a new Chevy for Theo. You got to see Jack at Jack Phelan <clap> <clap> DOT COM!

Then he encouraged Epstein to drop into Brown's Chicken and Pasta. The guy might be hungry, making all those deals and such. He can get a sub sandwich. A bucket of chicken. It doesn't matter. Brown's Chicken and Pasta has it all.

Of course, there is a lot of work to be done at Wrigley. Its an old stadium, maintenance stuff. Theo is going to need a jackhammer, maybe a post-hole digger. It doesn't matter. Whatever he needs he can send his guys down to Rental Max. They can set up easy accounts. You just send your guys down, and they bill you each month. Talk to Annette, or Bob down there and tell them "Murph sent you." You don't need to buy scaffolding. Just go to Rental Max.
