This is assuming Doc's report that Larry is going to NBC 5 is true. Everybody is thinking it's "drinky and Goff" as a combo but not so fast. I think it might be just Goff.

CSFMB: You can't have one without the other!!!!! Why not both you son of a bitch?!!!! Tell us!!! Tell us!!!!

I will.

1. Goff has been getting more prime time sub roles at the Score. Mitch likes him better than drinky.

2. Why pay 2 guys for this night part when you can get away with paying one? Ad rates would be the same for a 2-man show as they would for a solo show. 6-10 at is standard rate at the Score no matter who hosts. This slot has always been a solo show at the Score for these reasons.

3. Something very telling last night. Drinky was begging listeners to email Mitch to ask him for more "Drinky and Goff". Clearly he doesn't do this if he knows he has this shift. Goff was kind of rolling his eyes when drink was doing this. Goff never asked this of listeners. It was only drinky. I think it's Goff's slot and drinky is fighting for his inclusion. Sure, it's shameless and desperate. But if you're drinky, at this point, dignity goes out the window. There is an opportunity. He wants it. He'll beg, borrow and steal to get it. Mitch allowed drinky to host with Goff for this week to see if it's worth giving it to both. Or at least give the impression to drinky that this is a legit try out. I don't think Mitch will give it to both. I think it's Goff's and Goff's alone.

4. Big Fan has been hinting that Goff is on to bigger and better things. He's never hinted about drinky.

CSFMB: Booooooooo!!!!!!!!! Boooooooooo!!!!! We hate you Beardown!!!!!!!!

If it were up to me, Jason Goff & Matt Abbatacola deserve shots to be part of the SCORE's daily lineup. I'm not Program Director Mitch Rosen though. For all I know, the evening show might go to another guy many of us don't care for on this board. That guy is Zach Zaidman.

Another possibility happens tomorrow night, but he's got quite a workload himself. That's The SCORE's own Hub Arkush, who fills in from 6-10p tomorrow before he jets off to Philadelphia to work the Westwood One "Sunday Night Football" broadcast between the Cowboys & Eagles. He'll be on the sidelines while Dave Sims & James Lofton paint the picture from Lincoln Financial Field.

Elliott Harris and me. Remotes with beautiful women, video show so you can see the guests or pictures of guests from playing career. Remotes bring more revenue to station thru increased ad revenue. We would kill their existing ratings. Mitch and Rod know what the right decision is.

While they claim to be friends, drinky and Goff are also competitors. Raido is cruel that way. If Mitch picked Goff over drinky do you think this "Piccolo-Sayers" type relationship would be ruined?

I know one thing. Just imagine if neither drinky or Goff got it. All hell would break out at the staion. Those two would go wild. They've been kicked around and passed over for years. This would be the last straw. They would strom the studios with destruciton in mind. Mully's private office would be gased and set on fire. McNeil's Viagra, fishing equipment and smokes would be stolen. They would finally, together, throw Bernstein down that well.

For the record, I think Doc if just messing around about Larry. I will leave a small chance that he's not since he's not known for this sort of thing. Also because of Big Fan suggesting that something is about to go down.

Why don't you people ask Larry on facebook or twitter. Ask drink and Goff on their show tonight. Report back any news. I'm watching the World Series tonight. Somebody monitor any sort of "code talk" by drinky and Goff. They love doing that sort of thing. Report it here and I'll break the code and explain what it means.

Ok, CSFMB Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this truly is a tryout for drinky he really should take it more serious. No more "eating on the air" like he did yesterday. I don't get him sometimes. He wants to be taken seriously, wants a radio show, is given some on air chances and he always pulls this "I'm too cool for this shit" thing. Lose that attitude drinky. It doesn't work. You're tyring to get away from Bernstein and answering his phone calls. This is your last day to prove to Mitch you deserve it.

Beardown, today you're going to receive a visit from well-dressed men in black suits with sunglasses. they're going to have cattleprods and police billyclubs because you really screwed the pooch here: the first rule of Raido is that you don't talk about Raido, dipshit. Now you're going to have this whole board at a fever pitch over the question "what is Raido?"

For your sake, I hope to god they just write it off as an innocuous typo. You give them too much truth with the racial undertones, but Raido? jesus BD, now *I* have to make this post to make all of their suspicions go away because nobody here believes me cuz they think I'm a freakshow loser idiot. Thanks, dude, really, thanks.

The more I hear Goff, the more I think sports radio isn't a big enough stage for him. He has super star potential. Eventually will be a power broker in the community.

That's weird, because the more I hear Goff, the more I ask myself "How does this idiot get air time in a major metropolitan market?" He's fine as a "tip in" guy on B&B, but when he's given a broader canvas, it's pretty clear that he's not too bright, not too interesting, and not too good.

So nobody here has thought to tweet or facebook Larry asking him if he's taking over for Paula?

It's simple. If he deletes the question, it's true. If it's not true he would have no problem answering it with a "No, that's a made up rumor."

This is Radio Reporting 101 stuff. Why do I always have to explain everything to you people?

You haven't been here long enough. They are that dumb. So he responded with "It's a rumor." Great. Why didn't anybody post that? See, they are dumb.

Well, that response means it's true. Why would Larry's response be "it's a rumor" when he's the subject of the rumor. He's the one that can confirm or deny the rumor. That's an odd response that can only mean it's true.

Way to go, Doc. You broke a story. You scooped Feder. You win!!!

Beardown, perhaps you're not privy to the proper syntax for addressing Sir Laurence of SHAKE THAT via any medium of communication.

1) You will show RESPECT for Laurence and his craft. Example: you have no right to criticize how he runs his radio show, because odds are that Steve Dahl has done it at some point and, * chuckles * Laurence thinks that Steve Dahl knows a little bit more about radio than you.

2) In addendum to point 1, no unsubstantiated rumors shall be flung in Laurence's direction. Not only will he ignore such baseless tripe, drivel, and slander that could potentially besmirch his good name... but don't forget, you can ask a bunch of people at the score and they'll tell you the obvious truth: Laurence will hit you.

3) Imagine that you were speaking to Pablo Escobar at the height of his power and influence... what would you say? More importantly: what wouldn't you say? The same applies to Laurence, who hasn't even reached the pinnacle of his power and influence over all media, let alone chicago media, let alone Der Schnorr.

4) Anything else not directly covered in here in regards to improper conduct shall bring forth a reminder that Laurence WILL hit you. Tread carefully.

See, Beardown, it's not that we're idiots who didn't have the thought process to obviously go and ask Laurence about his potential move.... it's just that we know the rules of engagement and value our lives enough to not risk them by stepping incorrectly. Fucking with a guy whose idea of casual fashion is sandals is one thing.... even THINKING ABOUT fucking with Laurence is another. Ask Dr. Ken, RPB, or anyone else enrolled in the #SHAKETHATARMY: quoteth the demigodz....

I agree. Same with drinky.

I actually think they should consider themselves lucky for the air shifts that they do get. Instead they bitch and cry that they don't get more or that they deserve a full time show.

Maybe that's why the M&H producers hate them. Spmack confirmed this by the way. Maybe Mac's producers hate them too. The other producers don't get as many shifts as Drinky and Goff. They probably all think they're better than them. Yet they keep their mouths shut and don't cry and bitch. Maybe all the producers resent Goff and drinky for getting chances, not being good and having to hear them bitch that they deserve more.

While the news of Paula Faris leaving to become new co-anchor of ABC News' overnight news show "World News Now" will leave many fans heartbroken, Laurence Holmes signed a 3-year extension with 670 The SCORE earlier this year. I don't think he's going anywhere. He'll probably address the Faris news and his own status when he returns Monday night. We're getting excited for nothing.

I didn't hear it yesterday but somone posted, in a section that shall not be named, that Larry didn't deny the NBC 5 thing in B&B transition. How did this conversation go?

Can you imagine the backroom politicing going on right now at the Score for the 6-10 shift? Producers are pitching Mitch that they deserve it while bad mouthing their competition. It's probably quite the scene over there.

Hey Doc, what do you have on this? Is it pretty much Goff's to lose at this point?

I'm gonna give you a long shot. Ben Finfer. He's one of Mac's and Mac has influence with Mitch. He got Spiegel the gig. Plus, unlike B&B, Mac cares about his producers and will fight for them. Bernstein doesn't really give a shit about Drinky and Goff and would never use his power to make Mitch give them the night show. Although he could if he wanted to do it. That's why Finfer has a little bit of an advantage.

This could get ugly. Stay tuned...
