If BB are going to have shows making fun of Jeff Mantos desire to not have walks, but then Ranger is going to have the show trying to explain to everyone why Jeff Mantos is right.

OK, then let's have them go at it on the air!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to hear this happen. They all get along, so it could be spirited and funny.

Wow, this White Sox Weekly infomercial-for-the-team/show is a "thing." I nearly choked on the smarm(?)/smarminess(?) escaping the radio when the Ranger was mugging to accept his award, medal, plaque, or trophy for "being right" about Greg Walker, who was hired by the Atlanta Braves after the 2011 season ended.

Much like Sir Larry of SHAKE THAT, * chuckles *, thinks that Steve Dahl knows a little bit more about radio than you do... Sir Ranger of Hipster, * chuckles *, thinks that Greg Walker knows a little bit more about hitting than you do... and obviously he's one of the greatest hitting coaches in baseball if an "intelligent" organization like the Braves "immediately" jumps on his availability and makes him their hitting coach.

I could feel all of the frustration that the Ranger has ever had going back to being picked last in kickball during the 3rd grade being alleviated, as his vindication came in the form of the unequivocal declaration of his correctness about Greg Walker, and thusly life. It's kind of like he ripped ass right there in the middle of a populated studio and said "you're damn right I did that, now sit there and soak it in and bask in its magnanimous glory!"

Yeah, long story short off-season White Sox Weekly is a "thing" in the purest sense of the word.

Let me bring this all back to Kenny. Kenny wants the longball! he wants HR's. Not even joking about this, but bring in those softball HR guys to teach about lifting the ball.

I don't think it is a secret he wanted HR's and Ozzie wanted SB's, then he fights with Greg Walker, he hires a new hitting coach who downplays the value of walks. OK, so why not as the GM come on your weekly White Sox show and just say, they have some guys they want to hit HR's in a park they built and then modified to hit HR's?

In general, I think Chicago fans want to see you have a plan. It buys goodwill and creates excitement for your team, which could turn into some ticket sales.

I think Sox fans would be OK with Kenny saying that the plan is to bomb the other team and he thinks Jeff Mantos is the guy to do it because________?

This would alleviate the pressure on Rangers head of making shit up and while Bernstein might not agree with it, I think he would still respect the plan. Of course if fe HR's are hit, yes, they will use it to rip Kenny, but thats part of the job.

Bernsie has said for the last few years that the way to win in that ball park is to hit HRs. I think he would be completely behind Kenny if he said that was their plan.

Agreed on Sini, that shit show is a fucking broadcast straight outta the Ministry of Truth.

When it comes to White Sox business, Ranger is Zach Zaidman.

Not at all, plus I have and will say it to each of their faces. Additonally, had a quality screaming match with Drinky and Goff in person.

When Ranger comes on the air and wants to defend Jeff Mantos point, then say it! Say that he is disagreeing with Bernsie and not say "SOME" people.

And if you think for one moment I would not and have not said this to Ranger, you are mistaken again.

A little tension between shows and people on the Score, provides entertainment. Everyone likes a fight.

Once in a while Rongey will get puffy chested with baseball knowlegde, but Rongey isn't talking about knocking you out in an elevator.

I have only seen Larry once on NBC 5 and while he was not great, neither was the whole weird setup. Hampton, Larry and Adamle sitting on bar chairs makes Adamle and Larry look like 5 year olds, then you have Paula Ferris sporing the hot legs.

It's network TV, it basically sucks.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Paula Faris looks like she's trying to send signals that she's being held against her will when they do that four person setup. Adamle has a gun. He said if I correct him on a name again, he's going to use it.

LIVE Thoughts on Live with 5 Sports, Bears edition, during the show

Paula "I can't wait till this over"
Adamle "I should be hosting this damn show"
Hampton "Will they give me a check right after the show?"
Larry "I need to convince Paula how cool I am, comics? My Mom? Maybe I will show her my sensitive side?"
