Doc Mike banned from calling radio shows? Doc Mike, a regular radio caller from Chicago, who would often rant about problems the Cubs and Bears are having, has been banned for two years from calling Ben Maller's Fox Sports Radio program or any other radio show, according to BenMaller.com moles. Mike Witort, 61, aka "Doc Mike" pleaded guilty in the state of Illinois to one count of attempting to practice medicine without a license, a misdemeanor, according to the Chicago Tribune. A Cook County Judge sentenced Doc Mike to two years of probation that includes a ban on calling radio shows and running a web site. Witort told Ben Maller he served 44-days in jail after being arrested in late June on a gun charge. He promised to appear on Ben's radio show in August of 2008, after his probation ends. I heard part of this somewhere else and while the guy should be banned from practicing medicine and thrown in jail for doing so without a license, I am missing the angle on the radio thing? Gotta check if he was on here? anyone remember the Des Plaines Surfer? lol |

No kidding. If radio stations are going to ban criminals from getting on there air waves then there will never be a player interview ever. I don't know what the fact that he illegally perfomed open heart surgery has to do with his thoughts on who should be QB for the Bears. Why would a station even look into the criminal record of a caller. Nobody listening knows or cares. In the end it doesn't matter but it's very strange that this is what executives at radio stations dedicate their time too. |

Reading is a skill. He was banned by the judge, not the radio station. |

I imagine it was part of plea. The judge simply approved the agreement. |

He would call often and threaten producers if they wouldn't put him on the air. He is way beyond a wack job. |

I've done work for a few stations locally. And I know your cousin quite well because of that. |

From www.worldtalkradio.com/category.asp?cid=449 "He has successfully treated Miami Dolphin Coach Don Shula, Football Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow, and NY Jets Wide Receiver Don Maynard." "'Doc' is known as the MODERN DAY FATHER OF VIBRATION THERAPY & HYPEROXYGENATION." Wow. |
