I think this is the essence of the B Team. all the update, producer guys who want a show. The Mike Espos, conors, etc.

It's how we got to Larry.

It's like the guy put in his time, that makes him a good radio host?

I would guess after 6 months of being a producer you have more than enough knowledge to be a radio host. When to cut to commercials, how close to talk and a few other things a semi motivated chimp could learn, but what it all comes down to do people give a shit what you are saying? Can you say it in an entertaining way and not sound like a smug lil shit or a robot.

This sure can be a quirky business.

Wanna start getting sandwiches for Spiegs, working shitty hours for no to low pay. Yes

Then over the next 10-15 years wait until others die or get fired, then you have a chance.

Or we can get a time slot on the score...

Again - good points, BF. Don't forget being called at all hours of the day with a stupid question needing to be answered, being called in to work at the last minute because the loser scheduled called off, being stuck at the station waaayyy past your shift because of extra innings, rain delays, severe weather, etc., or the next guy don't show, the schedule changed and the PM "forgot" to call you with the heads up... I could go on and on.

B-Mac or Tanny?

I hope you have a wheelbarrow, cause given how much that dude eats, you're going be getting multiple Dagwood-Mega-Subs every 15 minutes or so.

They may be owned these days by CBS Radio, but I can't remember the last time 670 The SCORE went outside the Chicago market to hire a part-time host without working his way as a producer behind the glass. In all the years I've listened, The SCORE seems to always hire from within.

I don't think that "The Zawzer" would appreciate that very much.
