LaurenceWHolmes Laurence Holmes A formaility, but @670thescore has picked up my option for 2012-13. In March I will start my 15th year at the station I love. |

Let's again start speculation about what he makes. I say $100,00-$125,000. |

I like Sir more than I have in the past. He may be more listenable as he matures. If he ever finds a woman, he might be worthy of a daytime show. |

Wow, looks like The Score doesn't want to play nice. My guy at NBC says there are some doors closed right now. The plot thickens. |

I guess it's just a coincidence that hosts at the Score are constantly making veiled references to this story. Time will prove me to be correct and I'll expect a number of apologies. |

I believe Doc. I think I've got this figured out. Larry said it was a formality. His option was up and he's not officially gone at the Score so they had to pick it up. Means nothing. They still need him to do some shows unil he goes to NBC 5. When Paula goes he'll be offically announced at NBC 5. I think you're wrong about one thing, Doc. The Score isn't playing hard ball. I don't think Mitch would fight to keep Larry. I mean, really? Mitch is gonna do that for a 6-10 shift that really means nothing to the station as far as who's hosting it? If Larry wants out he'll let him go. They just need a body to fill time when they don't have games. That's all. Like Dolphin said, it's become the "diversity shift" at the Score so Goff has next. Larry put this out there to throw people off the sent. NBC 5 probably told him to keep his mouth shut. He thought by putting out "the Score picked up my option" it would stop the speculation. But I'm here to explain stuff to everybody. |

What a prick. "A formality..." This guy should be lucky to have any gainful employment at all. |

I heard a rumor that drinky went into Mitch's office dressed like this to apply for Larry's shift. |

BINGO BINGO BINGO Rod plays hardball and considering I know what many others make, NO WAY Larry makes more than them, even if you ad up all his side gigs. Then you need to ask, if he makes so much money, why would they need such sidegigs? |

You never have enough, it's easy money and you are able to get free drinks/sluts that might not otherwise give you the time of day if you walked into the bar unannounced. If I were a single guy at the Score, I'd have something lined up every weekend. Artie Lange almost died filling his time with side gigs. |

Keeping Score wrote: Didn't Murph spend considerable time in this "Diversity Shift"? I could be wrong........ Also Matty, Paruch and a few others have logged considerable minutes on this shift as well. Murph did it 20 years ago. Since he has left, I believe the slot has gone Hood, Jiggetts, Goff/drinky combo, Sir...and how many other people of any color have recieved any significant day part air time over that stretch? I promise you if you asked Goff and Sir off the air, they would tell you that they noticed the disparity. |

He did it for at least 6 - 9 months. Maybe longer. Murph then got the 2 hour bag (Noon - 2 PM) after Holmes and Laurence (10 AM - Noon). |

I'll bet if took a look at all local sports stations across the country you would find that the day part shifts are dominated by white males in their 40s and 50s. All of the national sports radio hosts are white as well. It's the man!!!! It's systematic racism!!! Sports columnists in newspapers have mostly been white too. Especially in our city. Now, black people dominate Sports on local TV. Especially in our city. |
