Anna Davlantes is indeed on maternity leave, Colonel. Anna & her husband welcomed a baby girl named Gabrielle into the world late last month. Davlantes is supposed to return in February, but I'm not so sure she's going back to "Good Day Chicago".

FOX32 just fired its News Director in Carol Fowler and hired a newsroom veteran in Phyllis Schwartz to replace her. Although she wasn't specific regarding her plans, Schwartz has reportedly told staffers at the FOX/News Corp.-owned outlet struggling badly in the ratings lately that changes are coming. I've got to think that Anna's days on "GDC" might be numbered and might not be on the dawn patrol when she does return next month.
