It was worse when ESPN would do them every 20 minutes. Once an hour is fine, or 30 seconds max at the bottom of the hour. |

While we're on the subject of annoying waste of time updates, can we get ESPN to stop the "crawl" giving score updates while they are airing a live game? It is REALLY annoying when you are trying to watch a game with continual action like soccer or basketball and the thing is on constantly. Seriously, if I'm watching an English Premier League game, I can wait for 45 minutes before I learn the score of last night's Spurs-Clippers game. I've taken to putting duct tape over the bottom of the TV to stop this nonsense. |

Speaking of scoreboard updates, how in the hell does Kerry Sayers work in radio? She does more stumbling & bumbling than the rest of the scoreboard guys put together. |

I don't mind the updates, but memo to SCORE Sports Director Brendan McCaffrey...Change the closing line. This is how all updates end right now on The SCORE: "You're listening to The SCORE. Celebrating 20 years as the original and #1 rated sports station in Chicago. This is 'Chicago's SportsRadio 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com. Chicago's Sports Station." What's the problem with that? Too wordy. This is how it should end: "You're listening to SportsRadio 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com. Celebrating 20 years as Chicago's #1 sports talk station." |
