I've heard him do the updates on ESPN 1000 and I have never heard anyone ennunciate their words to the extent he does. He is not very good on air at all.

Did he play for the Cards in 1977?

He sounds like the hispanic version of Wayne Randazzo.

I think he'll be on updates tonight when Jeff Dickerson & Jesse Rogers host "Chicago's GameNight" come 7p on ESPN Radio 1000. Randazzo might be doing the same come 6p when RED ALERT! RED ALERT! hosts in Laurence Holmes' time slot on 670 The SCORE and the first 2 hours of the EP version of "SCORE Overnight" with Les Grobstein this eve...

Actually, I take it back.....he sounds like a guy that is trying to hard to have a "Radio Guy" voice. Not good at all.

He's doing updates today on "Waddle & Silvy". Needless to say, Ray's got that thick accent.

I don't think he has an accent at all. He has an over-the-top "radio guy" voice, as spmack said.

I liked him! Then again a good kick in the nuts clears my sinuses.

Liked him better when he coached the Seahawk.

I remember that, too. I think Ray's on update duty tonight when Jonathan Hood hosts "Chicago's GameNight" on ESPN Radio 1000 with no Bulls' game this eve at 7p.

I heard several of his updates yesterday and the most I hear him the more I think he kinda sounds like Dick Biondi.
