Taking a segment from the old Monsters Show Mike North and Dan Jiggetts should be cained for wanting money to come to the Score Roast True they were vital to the Scores success but without the station they would not have become the successes they did. It would have also been great publicity for them to show people they are class acts instead of looking like money hungry individuals. |

Dan Jiggetts would have no success or publicity without the Score? Really? |

Im torn on this one. I think its BS that they asked for money but maybe they were thinking they'd be ripped all night and why do that for free? |

If you are organizing this event, you have to know getting these guys is not going to be easy. Maybe you create some type of award or SCORE HOF? Something to make these guys get some credit. I think you get North and Jiggs, if you get a number of others as well. Like I said, just poorly planned. This should have been a memorable event and it seems the most memorable was about what a stroke Larry is. M&H even said Larry got up to tell some story about J Hood and nobody at their table knew WTF Larry was talking about. |

IF they had announced North, Jigs, Murph, Memelo, Offman, and pretty much everyone involved currently, etc...and it was still $100.00, I might have considered it. I'm sure it was cool. I just didn't want to spend the $200. Simply put, I'd rather lose that in Vegas in a month. |

Eh, its a public appearance, and one that isn't mandated by their employment contract. It's not that outrageous. Hand 'em $100 each, and shut 'em up. As to the successes they would have been, etc., Jiggs at least worked as an announcer and sideline guy, before joining the Score. North? He might have been over at Talkzone by now. |

This wasn't just a reunion. This was a money making chance for the Score. I think your view is shortsighted. There are two prime sports radio outlets in this city. If you are in the industry and get the chance to make an inroad at one of the stations you take the opportunity. I cannot believe the Score made much on the event. It was $100 per person. The room probably maxes out in the 400-500 range (but more likely 300-400) and we can assume they did not max out by the last minute push for tickets by the station. I would bet there were no more than 300 paying customers. That's $30K without expenses. While Belvidere may have given them a reduced rate for promotional considerations, they still could not have given away the cost of the meal. Steak dinner boom probably costs them $10-$15 (including service). Alcohol had to be $20 per head. They also had to cover the costs of the people who were comped. It would be like the lazy promotions department to just double the expected expenses to arrive at the cost of the ticket so I am going to say they made $50 per paying customer. I would be suprised if they made $15K. |

The score probably "paid" a certain amount but they'll get that back and more with advertising dollars over the year. I really don't know though. I just know that for $100 a person, you can pull off a pretty nice wedding and still fit in a nice profit for the people involved. The Score isn't getting rich off of it but it seems like they wanted to make money on this.

For the two guys who surely are the best off $$$ wise to ask to be paid to show, pretty sad, sorta confirms who they really are. |

I haven't been in the wedding market in a while and never was in the far flung suburbs but the sticker price on something like that has to be pushing $75. I just put together a group dinner at Ditka's with three courses and no alcohol that ran over $60 but I know those are different markets. |
