During Dan Hampton's tenure in Chicago (1979-90), the Bears defense ranked #1 in the NFL in allowing the fewest rushing yards, the fewest rushing touchdowns, the fewest total yards, the fewest points and inflicted the most sacks. That defense was legendary, and he was one of the cornerstones. Hosts Elliott Harris and me look back at his career in Chicago, his early days at Arkansas, and that magical 1985 season with Dan. Heres the link to the podcast.

Look, uh, David Spaida, is uh, ya know, a big name in the world of, uh, ya know, legal minds, uh, guys. As I was saying the, uh, other day, if you need a lion in the forest to fight the big battle, get a big ole bull like Spaida, if you will. And this guy is, uh, a good gun to have in the scabbard, if you are, uh, ya know, in a legal fixation, as I have been, if you will, uh, when in the previous instance in which I was accused, and never convicted in Illinois, of, uh, being under the alcoholic influence of, uh, ya know, liquor.
