6x times of Lawrence Holmes is way too much Mitch Rosen.

Holmes works on NBC, and 670 and moonlights at halas hall all at the same time.

There's supposed to be a comma in there, and yet in a way, it still works.

I was kinda hoping during the lead up Doug or OB would have called him Larry just for fun.

it's been this way for awhile.... when the bears have 12pm games, OB and Doug to 2hrs immediately after the final gun and then THAT gets SHAKEN and not stirred leading into DIAL GLOBAL'S coverage of NFL Sunday Night Football(tm)

Personally, I think Laurence is a good listen for an hour or two after the Bears game, whether it's this show here or his ~1.5hr bridge to MNF, or even the first hour or two of a proper Tuesday FOOTBALL NIGHT IN CHICAGO gig. He's the best bears beat reporter that the score has, zaidman isn't even in teh same continent as Laurence. The difference is that Laurence watches the game and makes observations and has critical thoughts, whereas Zach's job is basically to be a glorified mouthpiece for the Bears, providing Tim Kurjian-esque "awww shucks" type tales of grandeur and wonder, that is, if he isn't doing his radio pastime of downplaying every concern you could have about the Bears.

Although, I do have to give Zach credit... he does his reporting THE RIGHT WAY. He doesn't go out and speculate about injuries (I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT MATT FORTE UNTIL LOVIE SPEAKS. seriously, nobody on the board talk about it until lovie tells us what's what.... we don't need another "my guy said that jay cutler is done" type situation =D

AHEM. i'm babbling, sponsored by BECKS BEER.... it's been a long day between going to the bears game and social engagements and the long sloshy freezing cold pitch black walk back from pubtrans.... long story short, Laurence is a good bears beat reporter who is good at recapping the game for an hour or two, and in an ideal world he should be the #1 bears beat reporter at the station.... and a super-sub/fill-in-host.... cuz when terry goes if he or amattacola gets the gig over goffralopithicus it'll be a sad day for chicago.

ALSO, TAFFY. I LOVE TAFFY. SO DOES HAWK HARRELSON AND, TO A MUCH LESSER EXTENT, DJ.

Since the end of Sox season, NFL football takes up Monday and Thursday night. Now throw in Depaul buckets, and you have The Shake That Experience is only on three times a week at most. Mitch has to get at least four days a week out of Sir Larry.

I don't know why they wouldn't just give Doug and OB the full four hours between the end of the game and the start of SNF. I cannot imagine there is a change in ratings.

Thanks in part to the NFL deciding not to flex the Bears' December 9th game in Minnesota & December 16th regular season home finale vs. the Packers at Soldier Field, guess what? You'll probably get a solid hour, maybe 90 minutes of "Laurence! Laurence! Laurence!" on 670 The SCORE before Dial Global Radio Network's coverage of "Sunday Night Football" and even more LoHo on NBC5's "Sports Sunday" show following the late news.

By the way, is it just me or is Laurence shamelessly plugging NBC5 a bit too much, not only during the week, but on that hourlong Sunday show once Doug & OB are done flapping their gums?

Those idiots. What'd they go with instead this time, the Philadelphia Eagles versus the feet up their asses?

Well, Sunday night, CH, America gets to see the end of Andy Reid's misery when they lose an 8th straight game to the Cowboys at the "House that Jerry (Jones) Built" in Arlington, TX. Then again, Jerry himself might be in the market for a new head coach to replace Jason Garrett, too.

Sucks that NBC is keeping that game. Probably won't watch if Dallas isn't alive in that division.

Larry does Sundays cuz he doesn't have a full regular work week. Monday/Thursday night football, NIU and Depaul take a lot of shows away. On Thursdays Zack does his Bears show from 6-7 leading up to NFL football. So he doesn't even do a short show on that day.

Jerry just might walk over to the visitor's locker room and hire Reid on the spot.

I'm not so sure about Andy Reid becoming the Cowboys' HC. There have been rumors about the 'Boys making a run at the suspended Sean Payton after this unusual Saints' season ends, but Payton seems committed to coaching New Orleans again next year.

Plus, New Orleans might take a while to figure that out; which Jerry isn't so patient. Only time will tell.

Speaking of L.Holmes' show, would Haters Wednesday exist without people calling in about traffic/driving complaints? If he banned those types of calls, there wouldn't be a segment.
