Larry, when he gets so upset about a DePaul loss he bakes cookies!

1. I don't even think the coach, AD or players get that upset when DePaul loses.

2. I know Larry thinks it makes him sensitive/cool/geeky when he admits to this with a "yea man, I bake Dude!" nut no.

All learned during the ASK HERB segment last evening driving home.

He bakes cookies, BigFan, not just when DePaul loses, but when other teams bellyflop, too. Go figure. I bet he'll do that again when the lowly Arizona Cardinals beat the Bears Sunday.

BigFan, it might actually happen. The Cardinals may be bad at football, but the way these Bears are playing and are so banged up on defense, there are no gimmes and that includes Sunday in Glendale, AZ.

I would've guessed you'd be baking either way. :alien:

He shared this lovely fact a few weeks ago. He bakes when he's pissed. At least he's knock knockin' out suckas and fools anymore. When I get pissed, I get baked. :drunken:

I was unaware of this new Larry Bingo spot...

Funny thing is that I dont doubt he has done this baking thing, but guessing everytime DePaul loses is a bit much?

I remember former De Paul center and strongman Marty Embry being nicknamed "The Cookieman" because his dream was to open a cookie bakery. Marty was before his time. If he played for De Paul today I have no doubt he would get a try out to play tight end with an NFL team. I wonder whatever happened to Marty.

Will this guy just admit he is gay? I'm cool with him packing fudge. By becoming the first openly gay Score personality he'd have the worldwide fame he so desires. And a spot on Terry Boers' lap.

Hello, I'm Marty Embry and welcome to my website. This website was created for the sole purpose of displaying and selling my art work. What a wonderful concept...ART! I am amazed that I actually created the pieces on this web site! I absolutely love art...any art and all art! I don't have a favorite period nor do I have a favorite artist. I'm greedy and I simply enjoy it all. Art transports me to another time and place as I try to visualize how and what the true masters were thinking of as they created their master pieces.

I played basketball at DePaul University and it was there that my love of art was truly born. Chicago is a virtual endless zone of wonderful, beautiful and exciting art and architecture. I would often walk from campus to Lake Michigan and take out my charcoal and pad and simply become lost in my own little world of art.

After graduating from DePaul, I packed my bag and went to Europe. I played professional basketball in Europe for 13 years. It was Europe that I honed my skills as an artist and chef. When you think about it, a great chef could easily make a great artist. Conversely, a great artist should make a great chef! They both create visually enticing pieces, whether it's on a plate or on a canvas. I happen to have an incredible thirst, love, lust and desire for both.

Take your time to enjoy my art because I certainly enjoyed creating it all. It is simple, thought provoking, beautiful and inexpensive. You'll find yourself mesmerized by a few of the pieces. Hopefully, you are going to fall in love with art just as I did.

I sincerely hope that you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed creating it. I can think of 110 reasons why you will enjoy my art, but will give you only one reason right now. It really is some wonderful art and I love it! Well, technically that's two reasons, but you get the picture!

A couple weeks ago, Leery uttered another bit of the shameless Bears starfuckery that is his stock-in-trade, and then defended himself by saying "People think I'm this huge Bears cheerleader, but it's just not true. It's true with DePaul, but not with the Bears."

First thought: bullfuckingshit, dude.

Second thought: even by Leery standards, the idea of being a "huge DePaul cheerleader" is really pathetic.

Also, there is a small DC-area chain called Larry's Cookies that makes a mean chocolate chip.
