The Bears have a new coach as well! I'm listening, are you?

Larry putting his stamp of approval on how his staff at 670 AM The Score have handled today's news. I'm sure they're all glad he approves.

Nice thread title by the way...Larry is the perfect guy to be commenting on exaggerated relationships with women*. Should be an awful listen tonight! :D

*or any woman in general

Laurence is going to do his usual hack job tonight by just replaying every other show's interviews those show's producers worked to get.

"Remember the guy who always had a girlfriend out of state..."

Or Laurence, better yet...how about the guy who says he used to nail cheerleaders in high school. Pathetic, isn't it.

YES!! We've incorporated Rikishi's emotional admission of running over Stone Cold with this situation. I popped.

In 6,7 or 8 years of Larry on the Score I have never heard him speak of a GF, or really even a second date?

All of this would be OK, but he is the first guy to get into everybody elses personal shit on the air...i.e. Rongey

Not sayin, just sayin

is there such a thing as a professional caller? this caller started off with this well-written schpiel about how he respects and likes laurence but he doesn't get to say that much so he just wanted to say it now... and then he has some "angle" that ties into a good minute of laurence pontificating on the subject du jour.

is there a market for this sort of stuff? it can't be real... laurence far and away has the most "love you love your show" callers out of all of the score shows.

Not sayin, just sayin.

It's not just that, but they're always so damn long-winded about it, too. It's never merely "love your show," it's always "Hi, Laurence, I just want to say that you brighten my days and light up my nights, and I've been a big fan of you since the days with Dan Zampillo, and most of all I really think you should have your own full-time show during the day, and thanks so much for all that you do with the Bears, and my question is--"

Maybe it's code. I like to dream of a world where there's some super-genius MIT society that decides to have official encoded communications transmitted over a 50k watt blowtorch of truth right after dusk in the winter so the signal reaches like 40% of america, or at least have it be some sort of drinking game or anything that adds an underlying importance to a Laurence Holmes broadcast.

Unfortunately, I think the LoHead demographic just wants to kiss up and rise in the fiefdom cuz there's a lot of competition in Bernstein Nation and Laurence's fandom is like one of the Dakotas during the great move west: it's just kinda there.

Producer tells them to say it...

If I was Larry (God forbid) I might consider saying I am gay, it explains a ton and maybe he gets one of his hot female friends to try and turn him as an accomplishment?

I think the Score needs to have a gay guy on the air!

I'm glad Zack will be at the press conference tomorrow...good to know, Larry. Unfortunately, Zack is bad at his job and never asks a single question - ever. So what difference does it make.

zach: "the bears got tim jennings... who wasn't a big guy in indianapolis.... and he comes here and he's a pro bowler. that says all you need to know about bears player development."

is it an ad hoc fallacy that says A happened then B happened, therefore B doesn't happen without A happening? it's one of those fallacies... i'm prolly misremembering.

Zaidman is out of his mind.

Where's Urlacher and Briggs replacement if they are so great at player development? How about a WR? Maybe a QB in the last oh lets say 25 years?

He should not be allowed to comment on air concerning the Bears as long as he is a Bears employee. It would be like having Judd Sirott as your Cubs/Blackhawks "insider"

The Bears have been notoriously bad at player development. There should be a disclaimer read before Zach speaks, stating that he works for the Chicago Bears. The only one with balls to call this red headed shill out is Mac -- all praise Danny Mac!

I'm glad somebody else notices this...it's really rampant on his show. It's so bad, it's gotta be people with bits.

Shockingly bad. I like the work of the guys on that team, but it's obvious.

"Is this Larry?"

I thought this was a jerk from here with a crank call.
