I give this guy tons of shit for his Joe O and Connor show, or most of the other times he is on the air, with another guy that aspires to be the voice of Yahoo radio, but when he was on with Agre Sam (sp?) he ran a good show.

I think what made the show so good is that only one guy was 'Mr Radio" and they show moved well, not foolish comments just to fill air time.

If I was Connor, I would have tapes sent out all over the country for a show, see what you can scounge up, then go demand Larrys show.

It has to be demeaning for anyone to say "They work for Larry"...as Larry puts it.

i was thinking as i've listened to him, he has improved. kudos to this guy for making the most of winning a contest and working it. he is really starting to sound like he deserves a shot at the big boy table.

Much better than 'Larry's update guy"

connor needs to work with someone 'cool'....and that usually doesnt work out to be someone who's life ambition is to be on the radio.

As I said a long time ago, Connor is the goods.

He's not just Laurence's update guy.

And as bad as the A-TEam thing is, you cant criticize Laurence in the area of mic time. He always gives mic times to the producer, whoever it is.

That helps.

I know he is not just Larrys update guy, but the fact he needs to reference his "a team" .....YUCK.

Wouldnt call Connor the Goods, but he is good....and I think combining him with someone unlike him would be a nice combo.

Agreed putting him with Joe O. is a waste. He spends half his energy just dealing with Joe O's irrational hate of everything.

Connor and Boers would be interesting

or Connor, Jurko, and Harry

Connor is kind of professional compared to the rest of the dopes they have there. But I don't find him likeable. Thinks he's Mr. Smarty Pants.

Stuck late at the bean counting operation. Luckily, Laurence hatched a pretty good idea with a Blackhawks roundtable. Laurence as moderator with Brian Hedger, Zawzer, and McKnight.

McKnight has some decent thoughts but his delivery is very douchey. His smarm level is off the charts at a near Hub level. They both sound like their smirking all the damn. He needs to fix this.

You ever seen a beni post? I can spell, but that whole making sense thing escapes me. Tonight I can see the promised land. The land most trodden by the spotted liver. Bring me the Drinky Thread.

Bad, way too much name dropping nobodies ,like score scrubs . And it takes him 150 words to say something that can be stated in 15 words. Way too boring.

He isnt great with Rosner. Rosner's knowledge of baseball makes Connor look like a little kid just dropping the "uuuhmmm yeah, I think so" all the time.

Spiegs and Rosner had a great show for this time slot.

Doesnt "Sheps Cardiac" do it for you? (May have got that bit name wrong) I just wonder how much pot they smoked when they thought it up.

That title came from a texter who said that shep sounded like he was having cardiac arrest during a report.

I've been with Hit and Run since its inception. It's a perfect Sunday morning listen. George and Jesse were good together. I'm probably in the minority here, but they were my favorite pairing. But hey, I'm a charter member around here of the Murph ALS and a fan of Mully and Hanly, so what do I know.
Not a big fan of Conner, no there, there. I liked Barry and Spiegs quite a bit, too. Spiegs was a lot less annoying when talking just baseball. Unless he's talking it with Berns, that is.

I thought Julie was the best. She loved baseball (and when I say loved, I mean eros not agape) and you knew she was sitting in on weekend nights watching games if she wasn't out covering them. Julie was mental, but she was pretty good at her job.

I'm sure you knew the behind the scenes Julie and she was probably like Murph. However, on air I thought she was excellent at Hit and Run. I also think she did a nice job when the Score had around the NFL in the afternoons before Bears games.

That's true.

She was such a colossal pain in the ass to deal with. I finally asked her to never speak to me again.
