It was not the best-kept secret that the outspoken (and out there) Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis was being courted by ESPN — as well as every other network with NFL programming. Now they have a deal, a month after he ended his 17-year career with a victory in the Super Bowl, and he is bringing his act to Bristol. Lewis, who signed with WME last summer before deciding to retire after this season, will contribute to ESPN’s football coverage and appear on Monday Night Countdown, Sunday NFL Countdown and SportsCenter. He also will be part of the traveling team to Monday Night Football games, reporting throughout the week on ESPN shows, and he’ll have a weekly segment on the Mike And Mike In The Morning radio show. “Ray is a tremendous addition to our NFL roster and he will have an immediate impact on our coverage,” said John Wildhack, ESPN EVP Production. “One of the most accomplished players in NFL history, fans will be drawn to his knowledge, experience and, of course, the passion he always exudes for the game.”

I wonder if this means Keyshawn Johnson is as good as gone, or if ESPN will reinforce their "NFL Countdown" set...

Who has the worst NFL Pre-Post show?

ESPN?
CBS?
or Fox?

This is a tough choice for me.

Answer is all the above. Though I must say, if you're watching any of those pre game shows to start with you deserve what you get. Noon kick? turn the game on at noon. No reason to watch any of that dreck to begin with, theyre not providing anything new, interesting, or entertaining .

Boy that is like asking whats worse

Herpes?
Syphillis?
or Fox?

Still Rob Riggle's involvment pushes Fox over the top for me. I kind of like the NFL channel pre game with Rich Eisen, but I am a huge mark for Michael Irvin

I like the Fox pre and post game shows. Even the look on everyone's face after another terribly unfunny Rob Riggle segment made me laugh.

Didn't they have the same look following similar Frank Caliendo bits?

Caliendo had some bad ones, and it had gotten stale, but Caliendo's worst segment was better than the best one by Rob Riggle.

Wasn't Jimmy Kimmel the original guy?

Guys, talk about coming a long way...I saw something in Bill Zwecker's column yesterday suggesting that Hollywood wants Jimmy Kimmel to host next year's Oscars, especially because so many didn't care for the shtick of this year's host, Seth Macfarlane.

Rob Riggle is a scourge upon humanity. That fucking idiot makes Caliendo look like Richard Pryor.

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure he's burrito enough to make a mexican restaurant check his papers upon entry. There were good stories of him preying upon Daily Show interns back during his reign over there.
