Never was what.

If you don't like Laurence, cool. But as far as media celebrity goes, he is a tv personality now that is known to hundreds of thousands in the 3rd largets market in the US.

Shake That shouldn't smile with an open grill for pictures.
That is all.

Being a hasbeen can only happen when preceded by accomplishment. Steve Dahl is a radio legend.
Many go through life with little or no accomplishment.

The fact that I don't listen to the Score anymore means I'm no longer exposed to Larry's drippingly unctuous fill-in work, and thus I have no real enmity for him anymore and just find this whole photo feed thing to be obnoxious and weird.

I get sad thinking about how easily Dahl morphed into a golf player with a suburban mentality. I don't want to think of him as the guy sitting in his basement producing boring thoughts for thousands of suckers who pay for nostalgia. It really is appropriate for hime to hook up with Sir at this stage in his career.

Not really sure what they do together? But is Larry the new yes man for Stever?

I'm not one of those suckers that pay an outrageous amount of money for a show I pretty much stopped listening to when it was free. I'm shocked Dahl was able to transition that into a money making venture. Maybe it isn't. He made a lot of money in his career so maybe he is just sitting back and taking it easy while having a show to continue to get free trips to Hawaii every year. On the other hand, Dahl seemed like a guy who spent a lot of money on a lot of crap.

I gather he's just breaking even, paying for his staff of 3-4. He does it because he has nothing else to do. What else WOULD he do? What else SHOULD he do?

Western Springs will do that to you.

He could have had a gig on radio after he sat back and took his money for that year he was off. There was no doubt he would have pulled listeners for a little while because of the name alone. The problem was that the content has become sterile.

If he really had money, he wouldve chosen Hinsdale.

I don't think that Dahl was quite ready for Hinsdale 25 years ago.
