Not quite sure where to post this or if he was even the host of this but does anyone remember JHood hosting a sort of free form experimental show back in 2000 or 2001? It was called the barbershop or something and he and another host would open up the lines and have like three or four callers on the air at once. Interesting concept but didn't seem all that feasible considering people's tendency to want to talk over one another.

Hood had great programming. His game wrap up shows were so good that the local teams wouldn't let him use their name in calling the wrap up because he was beating their sanctioned wrap up shows.

I remember it.

Wasn't Laurence on the show as well?

I remember Jiggs at the end of his run at the station being on with Hood and hinting it is intentional that all voices of color are restircted to evening work at the station.

I always found Laurence tolerable when he was on with Hood. I really liked Wrestlemaniacs. If he was signed by the Score to co host with Leary I wouldn't complain, and would actually listen. I have a feeling Leary would pitch a fit though. He would take it as an insult, even though it would improve his show by a mile.

That's something I never considered.

We had Jiggs with North for about 7 years in the mid-days. Then Jiggs with Mac for about a year in the afternoon. Or was it shorter than that? I also seem to remember a short-lived Jiggs and Buffone show following Mac's departure. Hood with Telander was a short run. Larry and Hampton mid-days went for about a year I think. Maybe more. Norm Van Lier was on the Bull and the Bear with Buffone for a couple years in the morning. I think that's all the black guys who had daytime shows at the Score. And really after North broke up Monsters no black guys had long stays as hosts.

Has 1000 ever had a brother do daytime host work during the week regularly?
