Anytime Dave Kaplan wants to ask a question other than "when you hoisted that Cup over your head, what went through your mind?", please tell him to feel free to do so. I realize that a lot of bad questions like that will get asked following an event like this, but it just gets repetitive and the answers are all the same.

I like the studio analysis on NBC. I switched over to NBCSports network's postgame and it was good. Milbury and Smith had some good comments on the game and the NHL season as a whole. Boyle and Konroyd did a nice job in transitioning things from them to reporters on the ice. Boden was solid, and you know what I thought about Kaplan.

Giangreco and Rose were pretty good in their questions and reports. NBC 5 was not good in my opinion. I'm not sure who it was, but one of their reporters on the ice was throwing out the old "what do you want to tell the people back in Chicago" non-question.

I realize that the questions will not be hard hitting at a time like this, but it was the repetitiveness of the questions that got boring. Good broadcasters don't fall into that trap.

Kaplan is like many others in chicago Sports Media, softball and easy questions to those they admire and fire on those who cant do them harm.
