I listened to J. Hood and Nick Friedell last night while stuck in traffic. It sounded to me like a weekend fill-in show...poor pacing, awkward banter, mediocre production. J in particular seems to lack enthusiasm. I liked him better when he was by himself during his Score days. I also feel there is a disconnect created by having to follow the Post-Game show. Why not go with live programming & save the "best of" stuff for late night when you may actually be broadcasting to a different audience.

Post Game Show, much easier to sell ads to, no matter what game it was, or even No game.

It's not for lack of trying. I listen more than ever since the Sox are so pathetic. I was actually looking forward to listening to J. I'm only asking to be entertained. MJ&H used to fill the bill but nowadays I inevitably find myself flipping to Garry or Roe* for that.

*Roe & Roeper is fine until the 5 o'clock sports segment which is utterly horrendous.

I'm not even supposed to be here today!

My favorite line of the movie occurs after Randal and Dante have their fight. Randal asks Dante how his eye is and Dante says: The swelling's not so bad. But the FDS stings.

"Did he say 'Making Fuck?'" is good, too.

I'm trying to talk one of my friends, I don't care which one it is, into having their kid do the Randal walk down the aisle when the kid makes his or her First Communion.

He was the sharpest dressed guy on Kaplan's show today. That yellow pocket square was a nice touch.
