oh boy... is he "telling it like it is" ??? or since sveum's out now, is it ok for him to pile on and start beating the drums for the next hire who, "without a question/doubt" is the right manager? sorry, but i find it awfully disingenuous when kaplan decides to act like he's the lone righteous voice of wisdom when it comes to cubs things.... the guy's whole life amounts to being gladhanded around the upper-middle-class of society kissing ass, playing golf, shaking hands, and then coming off all pedantic and smarmy when he decides to "tell it like it is" (TM) GOOD QUESTIONS. HAUGH, GORDON, SULLY, MILES.... YOU ALL HAVE RECEIVED THE DAVE KAPLAN SEAL OF APPROVAL! SEE YA ON THE BACK 9! |

Kaplan will never be too harsh for fear that Tommy won't talk to him. It's the same reason KC sucks Bulls dicks. It's shameful to see Chicago media kissing up to Chicago sports owners, or else they get in trouble. I would say Biggs is the most honest beat guy in this city. |

I love that Kaplan has had a sports radio and tv show for a decade and still is less relevant in the sports world in this city than Steven Berger. I bet he is pretty satisfied with himself. |
