How happy would Jay be to be part of the Haws thing on WGN? Do in between period breakdowns with Judd? make a little more money?

Not saying he isnt happy where he is, but its got to be an attractive option on the table...and for anyone working there there has to be some good options

Isn't Jay also understood to be a very good producer? I'm sure they can use him there.

yes, I think Jay does a really good job and I am sure Wert has noticed, plus as I said, Jay can add HAWKEY TAWK

Plus I think he usually has pretty solid hockey thoughts. Nice change.

He'd be a good addition for the playoffs when Judd is on Cubs assignments, more so for expanded postgame than intermissions. Intermissions on WGN are mostly newscasts, commercials, and recaps, with a few minutes of analysis. Not a big Jim Memolo fan for Hawks games.

Next departure is probably going to be the intern or whomever controls the content for the webpage. When going to the Mac n Meat podcast page theres still a link on Macs show page for Finfer's twitter. Might want to get on that guys.

call me old fashioned but i'll stick with kid capri.

yeah i mean this was a fairly obvious response given the thread title.... and another meta commentary on these HUGE MOMENTUS EARTH-SHAKING REALITY-DISTORTING MOVES BY THE GAME.

this hiring spree reminds me of the one time i started an account on DeviantART that was comprised of nothing but pictures of various shits i took. they eventually deleted the account, thus dealing a blow to the legacy of jackson pollock (by my estimations, anyways)

They never really got this whole webpage thing ever working well.

Part of it is that someone from above told Rod that if you put all the stations on one site you will get more hits, but you will have a shitty site. I agree I spend more time on their site and rarleyfind what i want

It's not even all the stations, it's just 780, the Score, and channel 2. Seems to be a CBS-wide thing to put news radio, sports radio, and TV together under CBS[city].com. The music stations have their own sites, and aren't completely awful.

Whatever it takes to keep him off the air and behind the scenes, I'm all for. It's a tie between Zawaski and Biggs for worst fat guy voice. PTFB time whenever he's on the air.

I'll never forget the time Bernstein ripped on Zawaski's Blackhawks-themed wedding. He said it was like going to an 8-year-old's birthday party. It's a story I'm sure we'll hear again if he does leave.

Me too. I like when him and Mac talk hockey and either ignore or dismiss Spiegel's thoughts on it.

Really? Zawaski did that? He's one of those? His wife has to be a hockey chick if she agreed to it. No girl would allow this otherwise. Hell, most die hard hockey girls still wouldn't want this for their wedding.

I don't think you celebrate a sports team at your wedding either. Kind of makes a mockery of the sacrament. Plus you're spending 15-20k on it, you want it to be somewhat classy. Not like a night at the bar.

Now, if you're Bernstein you don't say anything either. Especially since you're not family. But, it's Bernstein.

Zawaski had to have known Bernstein was gonna look down on it. He's railed against this type of meatballery all his life. Zawaski shouldn't have invited him.
