Long time lurker first time poster, hopefully not the last time but seeing that the password had to be more secure than my banks I'll probably never be able to get back in here.

I first started listening to sports talk radio because I thought Mike North was hilarious. I would listen to just the morning show then switch to music the rest of the day until I got hooked on Sports talk. Every since hes been gone I thought the morning shows were the weakest. Mulley an Hanley is actually the worst show on the entire radio. I can stomach Mike and Mike during football season but that's about it.

Anyways Johnny B. talked about Supper Clubs for 35 minutes without going to a single commercial and it was hilarious. This guy can make Supper Clubs more interesting then any of these other idiots do sports. I've finally found a new morning show!

Would you say that Johnny B owned that moment for you?

Would you use those exact words?

Well, your opinion should clearly be trusted then.

Red Rooster was a really bizarre gimmick

That's fine I understand all the hate for North. But if anyone thinks he was worse than what's on now, you are out of your mind. Put any two males between the ages of 19-55 on the air and tell them to talk about sports and every pair of them will be better than M&H. Seriously, just pull guys in off the streets, it would be nearly impossible for anyone to be worse at talking about sports than those guys.

I prefer to laugh a little and Northy did that.

Johnny B is a shadow of his former self. On the rare occasions I tune in these days, he seems to be trying a little too hard to recapture the magic of his mid-80's heyday. It has the feel of Willie Mays with the Mets. Vaguely familiar but kind of sad.

I could see that, that's kind of where I am with Mac. But I never listened to Brandmeier back then so it's brand new to me. I have obviously heard of him but never once listened to his show until it came on 87.7. Funniest thing I've heard on the radio in a while.

Dinner clubs are circle jerks for rich assholes who think they can cook.

No, a supper club. It's a Wisconsin institution. It's for middle-class goobers who think mediocre prime rib in a wood-paneled, shag-carpeted restaurant is fine dining in the 21st century. And don't forget Friday Fish Fry. All you can eat, doncha knoow.

Aaahhh... I was referring to Dinner Club, in which upper middle class goobers rotate houses and have an unspoken contest to see who can bring the most pretentious dish.
