Quote:
North= Very critical of Ozzie not using the "starting line up" every game.
Mully/Hanley= I don't listen, as I'm usually at work in the office at that time.
Murph= The less said about that moron, the better. But his baseball "knowledge" about the South side team is very lacking.
B&B= Bernsie is pretty outspoken. While he doesn't bash the team left/right/center as some suggest, he is critical, and at times doesn't understand certain moves, etc. They also were not thrilled with the Sox moving "Fingers on a Blackboard" Brandon McCarthy to Texas, as he was a "regular" guest on their show. (Personally, I think Brandon's mouth when he went on their show is what started the process of moving him. Scrawny bastard seemed to think he was the next Nolan Ryan the way he talked, and how he wasn't happy with being used, how the Sox shouldn't of expected the best out of him from the 'pen, etc.)
Now Doug hibernates all summer, and the evening crew is hit/miss. But honestly, the only one who can't be fully critical of the Sox is the Ranger, as during White Sox weekly and pre/post game shows, he's a dual employee of both WSCR and the White Sox.
If North is critical it is always followed up by a massive ass kissing to JR, KW or Ozzie. I will say that North steps out more then the rest of the on air people.
Mulligan stated many times that he wont be critical of a team that has won a world series even when they go from best to 3rd. So that means if the Cubs win it all he will never take shots at them again? I doubt it and if the Bears win it all this sunday, he will never say a bad thing about them again? Hanley is a kiss ass when it comes to the WS, he has proven that many times.
Boers and Bernstein might point out flaws of the team, but they do it in such a soft manner compared to how they tear apart other teams, its almost sad. Dan and Terry have become what they said they would never be and that is Sox apologists, they are and if your were truly listening, you would know that.
Murph doesnt rip the Sox like you said, he went after KW and JR because of the Sox promise to pay whatever it took to win and bascially he called them out on not coming through. Yes, dont pay if you dont think it isnt going to help, but dont fall back on the payroll excuse because if you take away what the D-Backs and Phillies are paying for Vasquez and Thome, the payroll isnt over 100 mill. They won with a lesser payroll, but dont try and scam people by saying you paying something you are not. That was murphs point. Yes Murph talks alot of Cubs, but who cares, he is the only one.
Ranger is fine, he is a sox employee and you can tell because he is just like Hawk, Farmer and any other sox employee, he is a company guy.
