WTF, is Mike Murphy ten years old? Who the hell request to have an opening intro with the lyrics "the show with the most on The Score?" Yeah, like Murph's shows are better than the rest... Boers should just play Murph's intro song as a drop... when he wishes to make fun of him. |

I was looking forward to Mully and Hanley and kept checking the time to make sure it wasn't noon when I heard captain dipshit's voice. BooooErns. |

Haha. True. It bothers me how he often does his own "wah wah wah's" to the song. I do like the opening with the "this is a cbs production in color". I find it clever, but I don't think Murph intended it to be clever. |

Someone tell me this is a one time deal (Murphy in the 10AM slot). As soon as I heard him, I turned on AM 1000. |

If Murph was given a 4 hour shift, I might have to go on a killing spree. |

Are you guys all Sox fans?? Murph rocks guys, he actually talks sports. Not many other shows on this station do that anymore. Yeah Hanley and Mully talk sports but they also do a great job of putting me to sleep. |

When Murph is on, they should change the call letters to WCUB. |

I respect that he's the only one left on WSOX (See what I did there?) that talks about the other team, but even I don't think I can handle four hours of Murph's voice. |

Regardless at how well or how poor Murph's ability to talk sports is... his demeanor is flat out annoying. He is a nerd. I get tired of nerds after a while. He comes across as a nice person most of the time, and I wouldn't mind him so much, but after hearing how much of a dick he is, I find no tolerance for him. |

His real lack of knowledge of sports is only surpassed by his arrogance thinking anyone is foolish enough to believe a word he says. The asshole is a phony with no more knowledge than the average 4th grader. BTW, I miss old Murph's a Tool calling Murphy the useless 'POS" that he really is. |

Time for some hoodedness, "You're high, shut up!" Nobody else talked about their recent aquisitions? When Stone is on, nobody asks him about the Cubs? Nobody talked about "Hard Bake"? |

Murph talks sports? If its baseball, sure. But the moron can't handle any other sport. Hell, name the last time he actually had anything of quality to say about football or basketball? And not every sport story or event can be related to the Cubs. I remember one time when he had Doug Buffone on with him (which I think was the last time Doug was on with him) he was making an issue over the fact that with Soldier Field's renovations, the Bears should be able to "spend MORE money, there are no limits, the McCaskey family were hogging the additional revenue, etc." and then pointed to that same complaint about the Cubs. If Doug said "Murph, the NFL has a salary cap" one more time during Murph's tirade, I was certain that Doug was going to come across the console and slap the crap out of Murph. Steve Stone on with Murph can be a great segment, but for all the wrong reasons. Stone, "Now, when it comes to the Sox starting rotation...." Murph "Tell me about it Stoney, beyond Zambrano; what do the Cubs have?" Stone, "Well, we were talking about the White Sox." Murph "Getting back to the Cubs for a minute....." Only time Murph talks White Sox is if he feels that Ozzie or KW made a mistake. Front |

What fricken show are you listening to? Murph and the rest of the boys have done nothing but kiss the ass of the south side team for the last two years. If Murph was hard on the Sox, it is like a drop in ocean, because they have such restrictions on what and how they can talk Sox baseball. |

Well, I no longer listen to Murph, as it really is a two-hour Cubs suckfest; and has been for a while; but you are wrong that the Score boys do nothing but kiss ass. North= Very critical of Ozzie not using the "starting line up" every game. Mully/Hanley= I don't listen, as I'm usually at work in the office at that time. Murph= The less said about that moron, the better. But his baseball "knowledge" about the South side team is very lacking. B&B= Bernsie is pretty outspoken. While he doesn't bash the team left/right/center as some suggest, he is critical, and at times doesn't understand certain moves, etc. They also were not thrilled with the Sox moving "Fingers on a Blackboard" Brandon McCarthy to Texas, as he was a "regular" guest on their show. (Personally, I think Brandon's mouth when he went on their show is what started the process of moving him. Scrawny bastard seemed to think he was the next Nolan Ryan the way he talked, and how he wasn't happy with being used, how the Sox shouldn't of expected the best out of him from the 'pen, etc.) Now Doug hibernates all summer, and the evening crew is hit/miss. But honestly, the only one who can't be fully critical of the Sox is the Ranger, as during White Sox weekly and pre/post game shows, he's a dual employee of both WSCR and the White Sox. |

Murph's the luckiest man in Chicago radio. His direct competition is Dan Patrick who'll never be replaced. |

But honestly, the only one who can't be fully critical of the Sox is the Ranger, as during White Sox weekly and pre/post game shows, he's a dual employee of both WSCR and the White Sox. If North is critical it is always followed up by a massive ass kissing to JR, KW or Ozzie. I will say that North steps out more then the rest of the on air people. Mulligan stated many times that he wont be critical of a team that has won a world series even when they go from best to 3rd. So that means if the Cubs win it all he will never take shots at them again? I doubt it and if the Bears win it all this sunday, he will never say a bad thing about them again? Hanley is a kiss ass when it comes to the WS, he has proven that many times. Boers and Bernstein might point out flaws of the team, but they do it in such a soft manner compared to how they tear apart other teams, its almost sad. Dan and Terry have become what they said they would never be and that is Sox apologists, they are and if your were truly listening, you would know that. Murph doesnt rip the Sox like you said, he went after KW and JR because of the Sox promise to pay whatever it took to win and bascially he called them out on not coming through. Yes, dont pay if you dont think it isnt going to help, but dont fall back on the payroll excuse because if you take away what the D-Backs and Phillies are paying for Vasquez and Thome, the payroll isnt over 100 mill. They won with a lesser payroll, but dont try and scam people by saying you paying something you are not. That was murphs point. Yes Murph talks alot of Cubs, but who cares, he is the only one. Ranger is fine, he is a sox employee and you can tell because he is just like Hawk, Farmer and any other sox employee, he is a company guy. |

Winning a World Series should get a team about a 3-year pass from sports radio particularly when the team they share the city with is as inept as the Cubs. |

Hard to do worse than the Cubs organization for bad moves. |

Ok, If anyone heard today's show and Murph's little "why should the defense be able to see the playclock" (argument? Disagreement? Not understanding the very basics of football?) comments, I need no more evidence why the man shouldn't be allowed on the air from September (unless the Cubs make the playoffs) through March. What a maroon! Front |
