Is Pierson going to roll out his 38 year-old QB article every time any quarterback of consequence approaches that age? This has to be the 3rd time I've read this article from him in the past few years.

What is his point? He spends half the article just listing out QBs and how old they were when they quit.

Here's what I got from it. Most QBs get bad when they get older. Some get bad before they turn 38 and retire, some get bad after they turn 38 and retire, and a couple are still good after they turn 38 and then they get bad later and retire.

Thanks for the knowledge.

(I usually like Pierson, but this article just seems lazy to me. One time I could take maybe, but this has to be the third time he's gone to this well.)

He writes articles talking about players from 25 years ago way too often for me.

BD, you aren't a Sonny Jurgensen / YA Tittle guy?

You don't see their relevance to Brett Favre?

Doctor,

I was thinking the same thing. Haven't I seen this 38 YO article at least two or three times over the last six years? I remember because this is the only article where Warren Moon is championed over the rest of the guys.

I agree--lazy. Come up with a new concept. Next thing you know, that Dr. Z in SI will just keep repeating his "power rankings" for 30 years. Oh, never mind.
