“I’m not leaving the Score,” he told me. “I love that place and have been there since I started as a producer for Les Grobstein back in 1998. The radio show is the foundation for everything I do, and I love what my producers, Joe Ostrowski and Herb Lawrence, have built for me at night.

That struck me as odd.

They announced this "station" in March, with all the hosts and personalities. They had like 15 people do a press conference.

Leary was not in the first cut.

But in classic leary fashion, when preople leave and they need someone to do the cleanup job, Leary steps in.

Because there is nothing more that I want to hear than a roundtable discussion directed by Leary every morning from 7-9 AM.

And if I am Rod Zimmerman, am I happy that my part time night time guy is going to start promoting his webio show, going against my morning show?

That my was first thought too... "I love that place SO much that I am going to go compete against them!"

If Holmes is lucky, with all of the stuff he's doing he *might* be at 100k. And if he went to DePaul, I'm sure a lot of that is still going to student loans.

Per Ser, he was offered a scholarship to Yale. So I assume he had a full ride to DePaul with a stipend. Combine that with him playing baseball at DePaul I'm sure he was given cars, clothes and money under the table as well.

First of all, he got a baseball scholarship.

Secondly, he graduated like 20 years ago.

Third, he makes more than 100k at the Score alone

I will guess, that internet show is a $500 a week effort.

I just love that people are now calling it "Jerry Reinsdorf's Silver Chalice" network. I think it has been around since 2009, just known as Silver Chalice.

And it's not like they didnt know about Leary. It's run by Brooks Boyer.

1. No baseball scholarships at DePaul, it's a club, I got to play a few games at 1B, but didnt get a minor league deal.
2. Guessing Parents paid or as Mom is teacher, got a deal.
3. Putting WSCR at 150K, with some extra money if he works 'overtime", as everyone else has the same deal of getting a base and then extras for updates, extra shows, fill in for hosts on rehab, etc.

100% my high school team beats DePauls baseball club. Just for reference.

I am very happy for him.

I wish him continued success and his eventual promotion to a full time job in Florida.

That would be great as Fla has 2 hockey teams.
