So i've given 87.7 The Game a pretty substantial chance, but i'm done.

Here's the thing...
David Haugh sucks. He's hardly worth reading let alone listening to. The gang with Tiny are ok, and I so want to like Jarret Payton, but Harry has to completely carry (Harry carry) that show and it's painful sometimes. The whole station sounds like a bunch of producers from other stations getting their own shows on a holiday affternoon.

Like I said earlier, they shouldn't make the station appear in Kaplan's image.

That's because that's exactly what it is.

Why even ask?

It's funnier to watch him scramble when nobody responds.

Normally I would, but I honestly did not get the reference.

Johnny B is a decent listen in the morning.

As far as sports, McKnight's not awful. The rest are quite awful.

I've heard a little bit of Tim Doyle and Dylan McGorty on a few occasions. Is this the Tim Doyle who went to Northwestern? He does not sound like a bright guy. He just said someone has hair like a "Cheetah Pet."

He actually thought Chia Pet was Cheetah Pet.

I heard Doyle and the other guy yesterday. Not real good. They were followed up by somebody else and Jerry Riles.

I heard some of that, and it was OK. Riles sounds like kind of a spazz.

Jason Gotch and Jason McKie have a pretty good show. They're both likable, which is a good start and more than I can say for a lot of shows.

Jim Valvano is on now, and I enjoy his shows when I catch part of them late at night/early in the morning on weekends.

Well, Mac should sign with the Game for sure then. If the Deacon can bring Jim Valvano back from the dead I'm sure he can do the same for Mac's career.

Doyle is with that Dylan guy, who is an actor from NJ and does that Webio show with leary.

Its not that he sounds like a bad guy, he just isnt from here and likes telling me stories about the east coast and what it was like growing up.

I do think for a chicago sports radio talker to succeed here he needs to know who Jerry Morales was, what Dybzinski did, who Super fan was, Getting any Hawks people upstairs, Der Sting! Big Al lerner! "THAT ONE HAD EYES!", "That's your IQ, buddy!", what Sportsvision was, who Tim Wiegel was, Berry Tevington! Herman Franks! Doug Buffone! etc etc.

Yeah, I'm batting about .666 on that list, but I agree with your general sentiment. We don't lack for population here. We shouldn't be importing our sports yakkers.

I just saw Big Al on that The 80s: The Decade That Made Us documentary they're playing on one of my cable channels.

Here's a great old video with Big Al and the best pool player in Chicago at the time, Smartie Artie Bodendorfer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbIgMzAXaU0
Near the end he interviews my guy, Sonny G. Sonny is now a singer. You can catch him doing standards at Chambers on Milwaukee Avenue now and then. His version of The Girl From Ipanema is special.
