Howie Griffith?

I am all for it. If you cant show up for the job, then let someone else take the seat.

What? Official? Did you say "Official"? Nothing is Official until we decide it is! Was it Official when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!..........and ain't Official Now!

(feel free to insert germans if you want)

And if you don't get the reference, go get baked, order a pizza and watch Animal house 2 times! You will be a better person for it....and for us.

Germans? Forget it, he's rolling...

Even Finfer was poking fun at this the other day... Where's Griff? I don't know? Does he even work here anymore? Has anyone seen him?..

Yup Monday and Tuesday he was harping on it. Today, nil. See ya Howard. You added little. Time for talent because the score just asphyxiated themselves today.

Why do you even listen to sports radio, if you hate almost everybody?

Finfer just announced that Griff is definitely done. Commitments to The Big Ten Network just didn't free up enough time for him to do a daily radio show anymore. A texter said; "Please! No Dan McNeil!" to which Finji replied; "Hey - you never know?!?"

Wonder if Finfer wants Mac on his show. On one hand it'd be better ratings but then it would be Mac's show and not him.

Mac wouldn't join another station unless it's on his terms. I'm guessing noon - 3 wouldn't be those terms.

3 hours would be too long of a work day.

I have a feeling Mac would love to again bury Bernstein in the ratings.

Yes. Of course Finfer would want Mac. Want to know why? Because Finfer would like to start broadcasting to an actual audience. Right now he's talking to nobody.

And if he continues to talk to nobody, he won't be there much longer anyway.

Thanks for your question.
I love sports & like a few of the guys. From the sounds of this board, I'm not the only guy who dislikes most of the local sports radio guys. The state of sports radio in Chicago has never been so dire. At least there is a new upstart who will hopefully soon make a move.

But they started with Harry driving a show in the afternoon. I'm all for a third option but anyone stupid enough to make this their opening move doesnt deserve the benefit of the doubt from me that they can turn it around.

They started on a shit frequency, with a shit line up. Change can be a good thing but a third station just for the sake of a third station doesnt help anyone. They have no plan that I can see other than hope SCR and ESPN keep getting worse. With Mitch still in charge at 670, maybe that's the best plan...

How does The Game look with Mac & Goff & a move to a full power FM frequency?

Can people please drop the "full FM frequency" argument. SH, you live about the same distance from Chicago, and 87.7 comes in fine around here. The ratings when the alternative rock station was on the frequency were respectable (High 1's, Low 2's), and now they are losing to college radio stations. That's not the fault of the frequency they are on.

I mention it because there have been many rumblings that moving The Game to a better FM frequency is in Jimmy DeCastros plans. The plan isn't to grow the station on 87.7, which is a weak station. Jimmy DC isn't known for doing things half assed. He has a plan. Don't think that he doesn't recognize that the sports radio listeners in Chicago are low hanging fruit right now.

Finfer-but maybe just his on-air duties and they keep him around to produce. That's if his ego allows for the demotion. Many would rather leave, than stick around where such a move was made.

Quigley is already a manager for both The Game and 720. Him also leaving wouldn't be too big of a surprise with those other commitments.

Mac and Finfer noon-3 would be great.

This is the time slot that would be of the greatest interest to Mac. The fact they would (once they get an alternate frequency) get to battle BB head2head, would just be an extra reward. But a tasty treat that would be.

Noon-3 is battling head2head with BB?

Steven...

B&B come on at 1, so for 2 of the 3 hours, they would be up against one another.

I have thought from the beginning that Quigs is just a temp until they have everything in place.
