Chris Rongey on the SCORE this AM giving his deep insight into MLB and he tells the World what is WRONG with it and does not even realize it.
Naturally, our beloved Ranger is discussing bullpens and he wisely points out that all the GOOD pitchers are usually STARTERS!! Bullpens "FLUCTUATE" each and every season!!
That's a great observation. Kind of OBVIOUS. But if you think it through.....
MLB has become the one major sport where LESS TALENTED Players determine the outcome of the games.
The BULLPEN SLUGS determine wins and losses!!
The N.F.L. does not put in the 2nd string at the start of the 4th Quarter.
The N.B.A. does not, either.
The N.H.L. does not put the second string goalie in at the start of the 3rd and bench the two top lines.
Only M.L.B., with their 4 hour boring games and parade of bullpen pitchers allows the less talented to effect the outcomes!!! Rongey figured it out and does not know it!!!!! Typical.
With the exception of goalies, a teams best player is on the ice for less than 50% of the game in the NHL and 3rd tier players will get 20% of the time every game. In baseball the best players are in the game for the vast majority of every game. Bad pitching at any point is a problem, but moreso for the bad teams.
