THAT, HE, USES, WHEN, HE, WANTS, TO, MAKE, A, POINT, AND, END, ALL, DISC-, USSION.

It's not the Bernstein tone. Kap isn't trying to browbeat a caller with his superior intelligence. It's the tone you would use when talking to a dog or a small child. Very lame but also kind of amusing because I can picture him going to a seminar on public speaking and learning this technique. Once he commits to a position and begins using this deliberate Kap tone he never wavers or accepts the opposite viewpoint. Kind of unintentionally funny. And fuck you Mitch for forcing me to switch over to this show.

I have accepted Kap and now kind of like listening to him and Haugh. Not a terrible show imho.

I avoid all things Kaplan, including pre-game shows on CSN.

You want to make a point, go for it, use the voice.

But when its made up crap from your NASA guy.

The mroe one sits in a studio the more insulated they become and have less and less connections.

Kap is out in the field.

Yea but why does he have to be so cheesy?

I'm with IMU. I listened for a few days last week. Kaplan is the sports talk Ebola virus to me. Avoid at all costs.

I'm right there with you Jimmy. I am enjoying listening to guys talk about sports without berating callers & fans. I hardly ever listen to The Score anymore.

Can a name change to Gamehead be far behind?

Ed way off side note. Have you had Lucanos pizza? Far from great but it is pretty good. The Woodbridge rosati's is far better than the naperville one. I was actually at Nels with a customer last Friday. Gotta get your number not sure what your flexibility is though.

The sad part of this is that you had to accept him. Because you as others feel like the comp is so bad that mediocre has become good.

Well it is not the good ole days. Techmology has changed the landscape a bit.

I used to work at the Rosati's in Woodridge years ago. Button 48 please. Same 2 guys own it and still work there (Bill and Jim).

Never had Lucanos as I'm pretty loyal to Rosati's, but only their thin crust. If I'm going deep dish, it's Malnati's.

I'm pretty flexible about getting to Nels, as I live within stumbling distance of the place. I am a bachelor tomorrow night. Da wife is getting together for a birthday dinner with friends. Free?

Did you work with Justin O'Brien when you were there? Tomorrow is a no go. I am hella sick as is the old lady and the newborn. Normally though I would be all over that.

I worked there in the mid '80s. Yeah, I'm old.

Sorry to hear you're sick. A friend at work has pneumonia, so there's some bad stuff going around.

Let me know when you're feeling better, and we'll kick back a few.
