not only did he have a midget right beside him when he won the world series, but he dedicated it to the fine fine people of montreal. first class individual and he's always in my hall of fame. one of my life's regrets is not jumping on that ~$40-50ish '97 expos road jersey 45/MARTINEZ with the jackie robinson anniversary patches on the sleeves because holy shit, when i got into the expos and realized that it was more than just vlad..... hell yeah man, i hope to god pedro can pull off going into the hall as an expo to "keep it real" otherwise i guess vlad will just have to be the last expo to go into the HOF. what a bummer, dude. |

I had to actually argue to a friend that he will be a first ballot HOFer.... The guy is one of those rare great players and great commentators. |
