Don't have info, someone fill in.

I got one of my guys saying he was driving home and Leary dropped some shit about not being scared to go into the Bears locker room because Long wouldnt be the first chicago Bear who had a problem with him....then leary dropped a "Homie" or a "Homie dont play that game"

I have no idea if this is a joke or Leary is just being a douche (90% chance) but leary really a big man calling out a guy who he knows could kill him, but would lose his job and be sent to jail for doing so. That's courage.

Whenever I see that, always think of a guy I hated and did that move to a few people 'What are you going to do, hit me?'...saw it a few times....then one night after being dropped off in a cab, he claims he fell down his stairs drunk. That fall broke both his wrists, 3 ribs, his nose and a black eye. Everyone one of our friends still think someone was waiting for him and beat the living shit out of him in private with no witnesses, as this guy always wanted. Leary...watch yourself going home. :D

I heard it, sadly. If you go to Leary or Long's twitter page, that sums it up. There is additional backstory apparently. Long did call him Larry in print, which is funny. Larry basically challenged him to call in.

Larry said on Twitter that he was sick of Kyle Long's tough guy act. Long said something along the lines of he's not in the locker room. Leary then told Long to call him any time he wants.

Interestingly enough, both tweets are gone.

Maybe Leary thinks his comic book buddy Briggs would back him up.

So it was a tough guy Bernstein arguement,

honestly though, lawrence is right on this one. he didnt do his job so bad that people are calling for the entire station to fire everyone. kyle long needs to shut his fuckin mouth because HE FUCKING SUCKS WITH THE REST OF HIS SUCK ASS SHIT TEAM

I just cant believe that Kyle Long cant fire off that line and push someone back 3 yards whenver he wants to.

When I see forte run, everyone just tries to block staight ahead, its like they never try to make a hole and move people.

The beauty of weeks like this is the phenomenon of sports radio guys -- perhaps the the lowest form of dweeb -- essentially challenging the players' collective manhoods. Imagine what The Long Snapper was thinking when the giant, gelatinous purple globule sat 3 feet away from him and droned on thusly. Mannelly has probably seen everything one can see in terms of players concealing injuries. And there's nothing the players can say in response.

Does this sort of thing happen at AM1000, WGN, or The Game or is it just WSCR?

Silly Tad, no one else is as close to the Bears as Leary is. First. Name. Basis. (and comic books)

I am a big silly.

I meant does anyone else (besides Bernstein) do as many embarrassing things as Leery does? Either people at other stations aren't that absurd or someone tells them to knock it off pretty quickly.

I would wager that ESPN personalities (Jurko withstanding) maintain professionalism, while you don't see that exhibited much at the Score. Sometimes it makes for entertainment, other times it's cringeworthy. Hell, just look how often Matt A, Leary, etc. get into pissing matches with Twitter followers.

I saw this thread and immediately thought the exact same thing about Long. He's relatively inexperienced, but his play hasn't progressed and he never seems to dominate anyone. For a first rd. pick at guard  , you'd think he'd occasionally pancake someone. Open a hole, somewhere. I have to think that somewhere Hog Hannah & the late Gene Upshaw are laughing at him.

His tough guy act is wearing really thin as well. At least when Kreutz did it, he actually was a good player with a history of backing up his attitude. Long just seems to softly push DBs who touch Jay a bit late.

But Holmes calling him out? Laughable.

Actually those are considered tackles since most DBs playing the Bears tend to become ball carriers.
