looks like little insecure drew & big insecure steve are at it again:
Dialing: Wendy Snyder out
• • After six weeks off recovering from knee replacement surgery, Wendy Snyder thought she was returning Monday to her job on Steve Dahl's WCKG-FM (105.9) afternoon talk show. But when she showed up at the CBS Radio "Free FM" station, she learned she was fired.
Snyder, whose contract was set to expire in March, is a six-year veteran of WCKG. She has spent the last five years as traffic reporter and secondary sidekick for Dahl.
"I had a unique opportunity to work with a couple of the best in the business," she said. "Now I'm looking forward to moving on. I can't wait to get back on the air."
Her husband, Jimmy McInerney, continues as a producer at WCKG.

It was justified. Wendy spent no time preparing for the show and little time participating during it.

There has been a long line of bad female hires by Steve since the days of Laura Widdick. The absolute worst was Joy.

Looks like Rob Feder couldn't "save" her job this time.

Laura Witek! She was one of the good females - AND - she was hot.
I never knew why Steve got rid of her.

I never saw her but I always thought she was funny.

What was Wendy to do? Steve wouldn't let her talk and he always mocked her. Steve's show died long ago and without Wendys fake laugh it only makes more space for dead air, read on another board Steve didn't even mention she was gone, pussy.

R&B - I'm almost with you, but, the past 2 days without her fake laugh have me me realize how much dead air there really is - and it's painful - so I miss her fake laugh now. And I loved laughing at her expense. I keep telling my buddy Jimmy Mac to get out of there, away from Dan Fellatio & Blew Hayes.

What site? They did not have it posted on Steve's message board either.

By the way, I just received Beer League as a present. Am I going to be disappointed?

chicagoradio.tk and chicagolandradioandmedia.com, and I know Dahl wont let anyone post on his board, he did the same thing when Spike left.

GD, Artie was great on Letterman a few weeks ago but Beer Leauge looked just awful. It's probably got a lot of laughs but 45 minutes worth of sappy, awful plot lines.

Javier I moved up past Rockford and only pick up Chicago AM stations, but even before I moved I, like almost everyone else quit listening. I used to listen all day with Howard and Kev.

other radio boards: www.radio-info.com & www.allaccess.com / and the old zecom.com was shut down by the steve dahl family / marty z is a good guy but he didn't kiss Dahls big butt so he got the shaft.

Does anybody remember Buzz Kilman doing fill-ins on Saturday nights on AM 1000 many years ago? My dad has a bunch of them on tape, and it was a pretty funny show.

One running bit was every week a caller requested the song "Colors" from the movie of the same name.

I remember some bit that went like

"Yeah, can you play Other Side?"
(Buzz plays Scudbusters)
"No, that's not how it goes."
"How does it go, then?"
"TRYYYRUH! TRYYYHII! BREAKONTHRUOOOAAOTHERSIIII!"
(Buzz plays Scudbusters)

I miss Laura Witek too. I googled her and it turns out she's a real estate broker in Los Angeles. Here's her website:
