This may sound like a stupid question but what exactly is Baldy McGrindy's job responsibilities as Sports Director. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think that position carries much authority. |

He often subs as a B&B producer. If you're "Management" and have to be a producer sometimes, you're not really management. I take it that he's pretty much Mitch's bitch. Or secretary if you want to be PC. Wait, secretary isn't PC anymore. He's Mitch's assistant. THE SCORE is doing well. They can create phony baloney positions that are meaningless, unnecessary and insignificant. Good for them. Good for Mitch that he can have a bitch. Good for Baldy that he can get paid to be a bitch. That's what I thought. I happened to be in the car driving home to Plano from Hinsdale and heard Baldy on-air with Joe Ostrowski and they mentioned that Baldy was the Sports Director. |

Plus, Baldy admitted he prances around the station playing a "Racist Irish Character". So, no, he's not an authority at THE SCORE. Management in title. Dumb ass in practice. |

In the past, the sports director is in charge of the update guys & reporters. I believe that's still true. |

Makes the schedule for producers, interns, etc. Remotes. Someone is always off, interns, someone is always quitting, not showing up. Mitch assigns the on air guys, and Baldy makes sure the ON switch is working...which has been a problem on the S&G show a few times in the past 2 weeks. |

I believe he is in charge of forming the station Score team for their Welles Park league |
