Isn't Hub too busy with that national radio sideline stuff to do this?

Exactly. He was pretty much a prick during the Jauron show.

This will suck but Bears postgame always seemed to be abbreviated by other programming.

I'll be following OB around the dial.

For the past couple of years Big Cat was doing some Bears wrap up stuff for WTTW. The segment was the day after each Bears' game during Chicago Tonight. I enjoyed his thoughts and analysis. He did well.

Kreutz is a loose cannon and this could be good when (not if) he blows a fuse.

Find a replacement for Hub and this may be a winner for Beloved post game coverage.

However, I agree with GD, I will probably tune in to Koz, Hamp & OB on WGN.

Bowen is almost a Doug Buffone sound-a-like.

I thought part of Mannely's resignation from middays was more involvement during Bears season? Man he must've really hated working there. :D

Who else is doing pregame with Snapper? Will they continue to do it from different locations like they did last season?

:salut: Is that on 670 or 780?

PatMan hasn't been a guest during training camp really either, right? Hard for me to totally tell since they gave up podcasts.

670. Not sure who's with him. He's been on once or twice recently, I think.

Last year pre-game was Hub, Bowen and Mannelly.

I wonder who will be the moderator now. Bernfield?

Any chance Dan Bernstein can replace Hub in hopes that Olin Kreutz goes full Doug Buffone on him?

Matters not to me. Never listened to WBBM or WSCR Bears post game. As I've said before, THE 3:25s are starting. Who the hell cares about Bears post?

Only the night games will I have it on as I try to go to bed. And it's usually WBBM.

But I guess a lot of people do care.

I can't listen to Hub and I have a feeling OB with no Doug will be sad.

You should have given it a try Beardown, I think you'd have liked some of it.

They sounded good this morning, I'll have it on during the drive home and see if I like it.

Best thing WSCR could do is just go back to the old show and rerun them. If the Bears lose to the Pack that week, just search for a Doug-O'B show done after a Packer game....same stuff and most drunk Bear fans wouldn't know the diff.

This is just awful. Kreutz and Big Cat both sound terrible on the radio. Mitch strikes again! I will tune in to 720 to hear OB.

Somewhere in the storage facility is the Big Cat Williams banner that was hanging through the concourse of Soldier Field.

Picked it up for $20, just too big to display in a normal home. Think it is 6 feet by 20 feet.

Time to break it out

it's gonna be interesting to hear the eulogy for OB+Doug on the first broadcast, cuz you just know that they're gonna initially take a minute or two to say that they know they're not OB+Doug and there's no way they can replace OB+Doug but life goes on and they're gonna try to do the best they can with a new show thats gonna try to be its own thing and rah rah rah.

i havent paid much attention to big cat on the airwaves over the years, nor do i think any of us have any idea what olin might be like.... but i'm ok with hub. and if he's in his post-bears bitterness phase where he's going to be extra-critical and giggling/scoffing at them then i welcome it cuz for YEARS the refrain for us bears fans during a blowout/loss has been "at least OB and doug will be good" but now..... shit. you really dont realize what you had until you lose it, eh?

so uh good luck and godspeed to the new guys, but at least its not like they have to replace the most beloved show on chicago sports talk radio.... a veritable institution that only the most tryhard of trolls (like ppl who would put IMU to shame) could go out of their way to dislike. goddamn dude.

I wasn't a big fan of the Doug & OB postgame show. I didn’t really care for all the yelling, and they sounded like caricatures at times. I will probably tune in to this postgame show, but I’m not sure about Hub as the moderator/driver.
