Odd that the Cubs would peak in spring training and go downhill from there. The novelty of the new station? Cincinnati is crazy--they must not have television there. |

I dont think its the Cubs or Sox, its the whole readio station...so it just tells you more people go outside when it gets nice out. |

WTMJ has always owned the ratings book in Milwaukee. It's quite similar to KMOX in St. Louis: news/talk/sports mix that focuses on local coverage in a mid-sized market where competitors may not have the budget to do so themselves, plus being around forever and ever has given them brand loyalty that no one can beat. I suppose WLW is in that vein as well. Charlie Sykes is an ass, though. |

I didn't see all of Los Angeles when I was there last month, but most of it just looked downtrodden to me. Nothing looks like it was built to last, but a lot of it has lasted in spite of itself. Is that the vibe you got? Beautiful terrain, though; what I wouldn't give to climb those hills. |
