Highly doubting they wanted him as a walking reporter for $750K....lol I didnt hear the 13 weeks of contract and you figure Pappy would have got into that part. The story pappy told was he got his offer 1 morning and if he didnt accept that day they would remove him and they did. The part Mike doesnt mention is they had been talking for months. Zimmerman gave him a final bottom line, last offer. North's ego would never let him take it and the end of the Mike North era came. he made his money on his terms and he left on his terms. Just like he wanted. |

Yeah,It's been talked about on here for years. How does somebody ever walk from 750 g's? I could have sworn he said he would be removed from mornings and be more of a contributer here and there, calling in,filling in,etc. Doesn't matter. Still have not listened to his WDRV show. Yesterday was the 1st time I shut off a Bear game in the 3rd quarter. It's bad and going to get worse. |

I seem to remember some kind of ridiculous team giving him advice. by the way, about 200K for 13 weeks of work would still have been a gift. |

Thats the Rod Zimm plan on guys...thats why Leery still has a job. He is on at night when they dont have anything else to run, then he fills in X times for no extra money. Leery is like having a permanent Sub teacher in elementary school |

Space Ball, jen jen, Beebe, Vrdolyak and some actual attorney that did read his contract. That was his TEAM....Knuckles might have had some input too... And it obviousely still stings as he continues to mention it today. Its like Steve Stone with the Cubs. They didnt fire him, he walked. |

Agreed, but if he stuck it out a little longer, than the new PPM ratings would have made his ratings go up at least 25%. Mike can say what he wants, but that is a decision that he like a do over on. |

Zimmerman got sick of "negotiating" with him and his people. North didnt think they would ever let him walk....North misjudged his ability, talent and market like Kenny evaluating Brian Anderson! |

As I of course have Leary blocked from Tweeting at me, I get to see some of his great thoughts when others retweet them..and I would just have a huge problem with a guy that I employ and provide a huge % / Most of his living talking about everything he is doing in the morning for his other job? I know they told him he cant talk about it on the air, as he was promiting it way too much.... Its like a guy selling cars for Ford on Tuesdays, then sending emails telling you to come over to his Chevy job on friday. |
