Billy Peterson - Approved, long time guy. Think he even has season tickets still.
Joe Mantegna?- Long time guy
Garland! - Yes, he goes over the top sometimes, but living in an apt looking into Wrigley...gets him in.
Conan - Lived with Garland
Vedder - yeah, he is turning into a living cupie doll, but long time guy. Went to bleacher games even when famous just to kill a day.
Cusack - Just Barely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The front row, Ricketts ass licking...and the past Sox love...I dont doubt he is a long time guy, but came close to losing.

OUT
Belushi - While I think he is a Cubs fan, he overstates it wayyyyyy too much....NOPE...cant come in unless you have a ticket!
Cusack (The female one) - Stay away...even though she lives pretty damn close!
Pete Wentz- Stop it. Same thing, need to see your ticket sir!

Feel free to glom on!

All those mentioned are largely irrelevant and/or over-loved in Chicagoans' eyes now. What I want to know is why none of you Cubbie fans have mentioned the biggest Cubbie fan (in Hollywood & the rest of the country's view).

Hillary!

Belushi is in. The Hate is over the top and the guy is a legit lifelong fan who was ALWAYS repping the Cubs, even in their darkest hours

He runs a vegan tea-and-pastries shop in Highland Park. If he was a Sox fan, they kicked him out.

Highland Park and Deerfield is White Sox country!

They are broken down into 4 groups.

1. Investors
2. Relatives of Investors
3. Friends of Investors and Relatives
4. Guys who think being a Sox fan gets them street cred in Highland Park/Deerfied.

I thought this was a pretty cool story -

Quote:
Actor Bob Newhart, 86, who grew up in Chicago's Austin neighborhood, can still recite the starting lineups from the Cubs teams of his youth in the late 1930s and early 1940s, including third baseman Stan Hack, shortstop Billy Jergus and right fielder Bill Nicholson.

In 1945, at age 16, Newhart remembers cheering as he watched the Cubs parade down LaSalle Street to celebrate winning the National League pennant.

"All the able-bodied men were off to war. That was the last time the Cubs won the pennant," he said.

He also remembers seeing the Cubs' one-armed outfielder, Pete Gray, catch the ball with his one hand, tuck his mitt under his bad arm, and then throw the ball to the infield.

After he became famous, Newhart still frequently went to Cubs games and often signed autographs for kids who recognized him at Wrigley Field. One night years later, while he was waiting to do "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson," actor John Belushi came into the green room and introduced himself.

"He said, 'Do you remember, at a Cubs ballgame, when you signed some baseballs for kids? I was one of those kids,'" Newhart said.

Dennis Franz goes on the list. Whatever happened to him, anyway?
Newhart is a St. Ignatius graduate, by the way.
