Post subject:  Murph's Interviews

I don't share the same disgust for Murph like a lot of you do- I could take him or leave him. But he has to be the worst interviewer on the Score. Worse than North.

His "interviews" consist of him talking for about 5 minutes before actually getting to a question. Today with David Schuster he actually spent several minutes building up to, and played an audio clip from the Bulls game last night, just to determine if something someone said was Scott Skiles, or a fan. WTF?

He has the whole show by himself to get on his soapbox, you'd think when he has a guest he'd actually let them talk. Also, he has no clue about the NBA. He's going on about how the Bulls beat the good teams but lose to the bad teams. Toronto was of course his example of a bad team that the Bulls should have beaten. Regardless of whether you think they should be able to beat the Raptors, they are leading their division in case you didn't notice it Murph.

I do enjoy Murph to a point. I can only take so much of him and really only go to the show for entertainment rather than a source for useful information. I can never get enough Cubs talk so that is the one positive I can get out of that show. But, I too find it hard to listen to a Murph interview. They are all just a disaster with all the interrupting and the "you really mean this, right?"

I read this on another thread and can only imagine how much Stone is not looking forward to it....

"Murphy and Stone will co-host 15 shows from remote locations, giving Score fans the chance to mingle with Stone, who also will chime in on breaking news. "

One thing about Murph I've noticed over the years is he likes to interrupt alot of the guests. He has a short fuse these days with callers when they talk and he wants to bud in, but I am finding the same thing happening with guests now. He's not as drastic to bud in with guests, but you can tell he gets irritated when he can't interrupt the guest.
