Is that Spiegel singing the "You got the Cubs game on the Score.." jingle?

They need to save as much money as possible in preparation for the Julie DiCaro lawsuit.

I sure hope her Twitter feed is some kind of persona or act. If she goes through day to day life looking for slights and political incorrectness, she would be insufferable to be around. How could you ever enjoy life if you are offended by everything you see, hear and read?

Spiegel isn't that bad.

Yes. An original Tributasaurus.

its a total ripoff of a george thorogood song (move it on over?) which is a ripoff of some old blues standard.

I thought a ripoff of some other song not that one though. Sounds to me like one of those 60's songs where girls do some sort of weird hand waving dance.

None of that sentence makes a lick of sense.

I haven't heard the jingle, but for the purposes of edifying my pal Hatchet ...

(a) the word you're probably looking for re: the jingle (assuming your ear is accurate) is either 'cover' or possibly 'parody'; ripoff is, for example, like what Vanilla Ice did to Queen/Bowie
(b) that's not a Thorogood song ... Thorogood 'covered' it ... it's a Hank Williams Sr chart
(c) it's a 12-bar blues ... there's only so much variation one will find on the changes to a given 12-bar blues chart
(d) there are more songs written based on a 12-bar blues format than you or I could name given the rest of the month at least

I'll send you a bill for my time. Given how little it's worth, it won't be much.

It was a lazy effort that also sounds a bit like "Go Cubs Go"

I can't imagine a more damning critique.

True enough; you mentioned Speigs and in my head I heard him singing the jingle for Feldco, thus my choice of word. Notwithstanding, the rest of my post is accurate.

I know thorogood is a ripoff of legit blues guys but to me it sounded exactly like a thorogood song. whitey acts tough kind of thing.

It's a 2-minute song. Yes, it is Tributosaurus.

It's not a ripoff.

That's like saying every stadium ever built after the Roman Coliseum was a ripoff of the Roman Coliseum, or every PotUS is a ripoff of George Washington.

OK. a song with little artistic merit.

Maybe not, but is a lazy effort.

So we're back to nonsensical statements again?

I have this feeling that you'd have difficulty playing the radio, let alone an actual musical instrument, so I'm not quite sure what your Hub-like riff is meant to indicate. It's not my fault you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Besides that, I asked Gloop a question, not you. I'm just wondering how precisely he defines a lazy effort, and how exactly it's measured, for example.
