Nine years at the CSFMB almost in the books.

Kids are back in school drinking mode.

BRick is back and we're on the same team for the first time...can't find a joke to finish this one.

Fire away.

I've got a lot of answers I don't feel like sharing.

If you could change one single thing about the current state of the CSFMB......what would it be?

Doc - If this is indeed true and you are Trumplike, will you please purchase Lanuti's in Ladd, complete the necessary renovations and hire me to run it for you?

Have you continued to BBQ this summer? I haven't seen any evidence of it in your grilling thread. Have you been swinging any
golf clubs at all, either at golf balls or your kids?

They'll never compete with Rip's. I know a loser when I see it. Lanuti's, not you.

You're fired.

I pretty much quit reading argument threads here. I've seen every argument.

Reading a Cub/Sox argument is like watching a James Bond movie and wondering if Bond is going to sleep with a chick.

Sure have. I've done a couple briskets, bunch of ribs, smoked a pork belly. Still need to do a pork shoulder before the summer is up.

I've only hit the links twice. But, we won the scramble I was in.

Dr Ken...what are the odds that the Bears win more than 5 games and/or manage to keep enough receivers alive and on the field so Cutler will have someone other than the corpse of Marcus Robinson to throw at by December?

I always like the humor.

The old MJH threads were probably my favorite show threads, lot of activity each day with a lot of humor. The B&B threads can be humorous sometimes but it's mostly just people that are quite angry.

Things are a lot more serious here than 5-6 years ago. The topics are heavier and more argumentative. Not saying it's bad, just different. Never came here looking to debate politics and such. Others do. People enjoy different things.

Is that what Mac's show is called? I listened to about 10 minutes on his first day. I forgot what station he was on and it took me about 20 minutes to find him.

Haven't tuned back. I like Mac but, just like I've read every argument, I've heard every song.

To me, a classic song is one that's so good that you never have to hear it again.

Can't remember anybody actually pissing me off.

I've found some to be more annoying than others at times. But, even those, I'd just skip over after a while if I knew what I was about to read is a waste of time.

I have almost no optimism whatsoever for this season. Can't remember the last time I was this, uninterested isn't the word because I still watch every minute of every game from preseason on, but I'm unexcited I guess would the description.

I've already given up on Kevin White. I made that decision in the car this morning for no particular reason. I just was at a stoplight and thought, pretty much out of the blue, "I'm done with Kevin White".

How much stroke do you have down in Champaign? My peeps (PHam) is on the hot seat. Do you think they will make a move on him and the coaching staff after this season?

I don't think I can help.

But, I do suddenly crave a bánh mì sandwich.

Needed some attention, I guess.
