Mac proclaimed himself an a movie aficionado today, since he went to see the Peanuts movie this weekend.

But wait.

Upon Pete's probing, Mac reveled that he does not like the Rocky movies, Star Wars, or the entire James Bond genre. He only likes Star Trek movies with the original cast.

Just like sports, Mackeyfish, stay in the shallow end.

You're not allowed to not like the first two Rocky movies.

Sort of ironic that he likes the musical equivalent of Rocky XXXV though.

My favorite movies: Shawshank Redemption. The Cider House Rules. Citizen Kane. Cuckoo's Nest. It's A Wonderful Life. Shallow end?

Everybody is different. I've seen Citizen Kane (forced to in HS) & Cuckoo's nest. That's it. For Prison movies:

I watched Citizen Kane based on Mac's recommendation. Only mildly entertaining. Would not watch it again. But then again, I've watched Blades of Glory 50 times and still laugh at it. "Cirque De So Lame".

Citizen Kane is hard to wrap your head around because its DNA is so embedded in everything we've seen since. I watched it sophomore year of high school and basically just went "ohhhhh, The Simpsons!" through the whole thing.

The porn versions of all of these films are also very good.

What were your thoughts on The Peanuts?

I thought it was really good. Stayed true to the spirit of the original comic.

Maybe it's just me, but for me Citizen Kane is an absolute classic film. It's right up there with The Godfather Part II.

that was an awesome movie that was careful to stay very close to the comic and old movies. I'd like another one.

I don't think I can respect the movie opinions of anyone who doesn't like any of the Rocky movies.
