Kap solo is the best approach for baseball season. Which of course is essentially March thru October. I don’t think any co host will make a neutral listener tune into Kap but terrible cohosts certainly can make a listener tune out.

Jordan C was terrible during baseball segments. As was Eddie O.

Kap and Bernie would make for compelling radio if they were both allowed to be themselves but it’ll never happen. Even Kap and Spiegs.

Parkins thinks Long is going to be a great broadcaster...not sure why he has him in such high regard. He also said Long might try playing baseball, which seems like a reach if not outright dumb.

He was drafted by the Sox but I guess didn't play? I would guess his arm/shoulder/everything is completely shot now.

No co-host could possibly be worse than Kaplan himself, so I don't know if you have a valid point. Listening to Kaplan is half masochism / half collecting intel on the mindset of meatballs.

I've been listening for about 20 minutes or so today. Long sounds good -- he sounds relaxed and composed which is a good balance to Kaplan's nonsense. IMO this show need to be revamped. Minimize or eliminate the contributions of shrill, irritating spazzes like Danny Zederman, a segment like Shot or No Shot should be done once a week, not daily, and limit the number of mudane stories Kap tells about his day-to-day life, not to mention the self-indulgent Commander McBragg-type stories.
